We are so educated????? REALLY?
Asking this in marriage and divorce because so much of what I am referring to comes from this section. Curious as to your take on this. Does it strike anyone else as strange that today, society is supposedly so much more educated and advanced yet so many people seem to be at a loss in regards to things that are so very simple and what I term common sense? Just looking at the questions and answers in yahoo Q & A, I wonder how we claim to be so much more enlightened given the things people ask and the answers they receive. I have to say that in my view, we have not progressed or learned, we have actually reverted and lost so much of what made society good. Am I the only one who thinks this?

I have been on Y. Ans. for a fairly decent amt. of yrs. now. I DO take it seriously. Am a far cry from the "younger generation", have lived one quite diversified life over the yrs. Gone thru MANY of the things that are questioned in this particular category, thus the reason I chose it. I base my ans. on the "reality" of situations. Things I myself have experienced. IF I can save anyone from making the same mistakes I've made, I do my very BEST to relay/relate it to the questions asked. It's encouraging & rewarding to know I've been of help to anyone as THIS IS my mail goal. I don't have to scour around & look for the ans. I give. They all instead are memories deep in my own mind I use for my answers I give. THIS IS my "reward", trust it will turn it around for them, be the very SAME for them too...best to you...:)
Edit: (((DM))) love & hugs to you...xox

People have always been different. With faster and more convenient ways to communicate, like on-line, you are able to reach millions of other people that offer millions of other opinions. With more people you are able to gather more perspectives on situations. An education furthers knowledge on specific subjects, it doesn't cure a lack of common sense. Everybody's brain is wired differently. Regardless of the amount of education someone has....sometimes....you can't fix stupid.
