What are good snack to eat while on a diet?
What are some good snacks to eat while on a diet? I'm kicking into intense diet mode this Monday (Being more strict on what i eat and upping my normal exercise ) to loose some weight. But the issue is i tend to be a snacker..So yeah, some other options other than veggies. Like something i can get already done from the grocery store (Examples: banana chips, yogurts ect.)
Yes i know there's no substitute for them, i'm not trying to substitute them. I just get sick of eating them sometimes and was wondering some other good snacks to eat while dieting.

Try celery with peanut butter, doctor Atkins says that is a really good snack to have, I have tried it and it's rather filling, also drink lots of water and green tea

Hm.. there's no real good substitute for fruits and veggies. But if you really want to snack, drink a lot of water before and in between. It should help control the quantity you eat.

Here is a list of healthy snacks which you can have when you are
hungry. You still want to watch how much of these healthy snacks you eat.
This is a snack, not a meal. If you do not control your portions,
you will end overeating on healthy snacks, and even gaining weight.
Yogurt
Fruit cup
Apple
Banana
Pear
Peach
Grapes
Plum
Orange
Berries
Watermelon
Raisins
Carrots
Celery
Broccoli
Mixed nuts
Tomato
Chicken noodle soup
Cauliflower
Green or red peppers
Peanut butter crackers
Nuts
Whole wheat cereal with skim milk
Trail mix
Oatmeal
Whole wheat bagel or toast
Pure bran muffins
Fruit smoothie
Spinach
Sweet potato
Broth-based vegetable soup

Those are good examples you provided. When I started my diet I eased into it and would still indulge in things like Cadbury bars and chips but would only eat half the serving sizes twice a day. I know not a super healthy way to go about it, but it saves you calories and you still get to snack on good stuff that doesn't cost a fortune
