  • Will Raid damage hardwood floors?

Used some Raid to kill a stupid cockroach who thought he could just take a leisurely walk through my living room. I was wondering if anyone knows if the Raid would leave some kind of stain or something if I wait a couple of hours to clean it up.

  • Pokemon breeding question...?

Does anyone know if I can get a level 1 Braviary in Pokemon White 2? I have read that you can breed with Ditto, but will I get Rufflet or is there any way to breed and get a Braviary?

  • Do you think that sitcoms would still be funny if there was no canned laughter?

You know how when something funny happens and they have the audience laugh? If that wasn't there do you think it would be awkward?

I find it a little annoying, it sounds so fake and there's more often than not always some person who laughs unnecessarily loudly at things that aren't that funny...But on the other hand I guess the laughter itself can be funny.

    What do you think?

  • Question for office workers...?

Ok, so I am an office worker who uses about 4 different programs every day to do my job. Also I am on a network that uses a server that everyone can get into. I'm just wondering if anyone else who works in an office regularly has to deal with programs going down or the entire server going down or something technology related that does not allow you to do your job.

I have to deal with at least one program going down every week. Sometimes I am able to do half of my job and wait until the other program comes back up, but other times so much is down that I am not able to do anything but sit and twiddle my thumbs. The longest time I have had to just sit and wait was about 5 hours. Just curious if this company is retarded or is this a normal occurrence in offices?

  • Should I lend this guy $100?

Ok, so my boyfriend's friend just had his kids taken by CPS. I think it was just one of his other "friends" who called them and said he was doing drugs or something. They did it just to be mean. He smokes pot but doesn't do anything else. My bf doesn't have a job right now and I'm the one paying all the bills, and I don't really know his friend that well...we have hung out a few times but that's been over a year ago and I don't talk to him any more. He's short $100 to pay the lawyer, but my bf says he doesn't have a good track record for paying people back. So what do you think? I feel kinda bad cause technically I am able to help but I don't really want to start talking to him again.

  • Do you ever look at people in other cars while driving?

Sometimes I do...like if I glance over and see they aren't looking in my direction, I might look at them for a bit (if at a red light or something). But usually I keep my eyes front.

BQ:What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen someone doing? Or what did the weirdest person you've seen look like?

  • Why aren't people happy unless they are making some kind of noise?

Whether it be talking (mostly talking), screaming/yelling, blaring loud music, stomping up and down stairs, or various other ways to produce such a cacophony as to make me go mad....why can't there be consideration to others; why can't there be quiet??

I do concede, there has to be noise otherwise everyone would be sitting completely still doing nothing all the time, but why can't it be controlled? Why is there no thought to the fact that the loud noise they are carelessly making is disturbing someone else? I try not to disturb others, but apparently I'm the only one who is graced with some consideration.

  • Do vampires ever have to use the bathroom?

Any opinions? Why would they or wouldn't they?

I tend to think they don't, because the blood they drink just goes into regenerating their bodies, and they have no waste to expel...

  • Intro to Algorithms help, please!?

My book explains the theory, but doesn't tell you how to apply it to an actual problem. There aren't any steps. I just need a step by step guide on how to solve a problem like this:

Suppose you have algorithms with the six running times listed below. (Assume these are the exact number of operations performed as a function of the input size n.) Suppose you have a computer that can perform 10^10 operations per second, and you need to compute a result in at most an hour of computation. For each of the algorithms, what is the largest input size n for which you would be able to get the result within an hour?

    (a) n^2

    (b) n^3

    (c) 100n^2

    (d) n log n

    (e) 2^n

    (f) 2^2^n

  • Would this annoy you?

Just curious...say you work in a quiet-ish office in a cubicle. The lady next to you spends the whole morning randomly laughing. You can't hear what she's laughing at, she never says anything, and she's not on the phone. Just every few minutes, sometimes a few times a minute, she just bursts out laughing. And it has been going on for 2 or 3 months. Every day.

    Would that annoy you?

  • Have you ever missed your flight?

    Or missed a connection?

BQ: What happened to make you miss it?

I once missed a connection because I went too far away from my flight. I was just trying to find a smoking area. I really thought I had enough time, or I wouldn't have bothered. Not having flown very often, I didn't realize I would have to go back through security on the way back in.

  • Why would anyone ever want to...?

    be the President?

Everyone will just hate your effing guts and hope you die in horrible torturous ways. Why would someone work so hard to be the most hated person in the country?

  • Question about Forrest Gump...?

What do you think Forrest said about the war in Viet Nam when the other army guy came by and ripped out all the plugs to the speakers?

All we heard was "...and that's all I have to say about that" LOL I've always wondered what he says.

  • Should I let my cats out on the balcony?

I live in a second story apartment with a nice balcony, and I've often wanted to let my 2 cats go out there. However there is a crepe murtle (not sure if that's spelled right) tree pretty close to the bars and I'm wondering if they'd try to jump onto it. That tree's bark is kinda slippery and they could fall. Thoughts?

  • I'm wondering about something...?

My bf and I just discovered that we have bedbugs last week, and I'm having trouble being as nonchalant about sleeping in the bed as he is. I wish so badly that I could be like him and just sleep...but I can't knowing that bugs will crawl on me and sit on me for up to ten minutes and suck my blood.

I think our infestation was caught early enough to where the whole room isn't crawling, but when we did the first de-bugging, there were quite a few concentrated mostly around the corners of the mattress, but not too many along the sides. Since then, we've sprayed Lysol on the bed and put it in an encasement.

Woke up last night, however to find one on my leg and under my pillow and saw 2 or 3 crawling around on the floor.

My question is-can I let him sleep in the bed and bait the bugs (since he doesn't care) and I can sleep on the couch? Or do you think that will draw them out to the living room and then they will infest my only remaining safe haven?
