All I hear about nowadays about women's rights is reproductive rights and getting paid the same for the same qualification regardless of the actual job (something that will only happen in a communist society).

So women fought for the right to have sex without risk of pregnancy? Sounds more like it has been taken over by men, because sex without consequences is something they have wanted for thousands of year.

He compares his actions to George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and FDR. What wars is he talking about? GW was not president during any war, and the other two were dead when the war ended. The only wars he can be talking about, we won and freed our own prisoners, we did not make a trade for any. So to say that he has to trade for prisoners (at least one was being held in an "allied" country) is to admit that we did not win the war. He just had us retreat.

People like Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John Kerry and Bill Clinton all preach against income inequaltiy while actively working towards it. And liberals do not see any hypocrisy in this?

A major attack on Sarah Palin when she was the vice-presidential candidate was her lack of foreign policy experience (though it was still more than Obama's but less than Biden's), but could anyone have done worse than Obama? He has alienated all our friends, emboldened our enemies and even given weapons to Al Qaeda linked groups in Libya and Syria. And he covered up selling arms to people in direct rebellion of their govt in Mexico. If he was trying to isolate the USA, he could not have done a better job.

I was thinkingof this when I was walking out fo a restaurant and saw four adults at a table, three were talking on their phones and the fourth was texting. I could not figure out why you would be with three other people you do not want to communicate to.

Though one of the worse is calling someone five minutes late and saying you will not be able to make it. I drove all the way to a theater to see a movie with a friend and he called and canceled because another friend gave him a better offer. (OK, the other friend was of the opposite sex so I could not match the offer but if I did not have a cell, he would have come anyway so I would not have to keep waiting.)

The Obama White House has very strict controls on the media and they say this is to be more transparent. Would it not be more transparent if they let the media have access and still release the same materials they do now?

I remember a Republican saying when the Lilly Ledbetter act was being voted on that it would increase the cost of employing women, blacks and hispanics and thus decrease their ability to get a job. And the numbers keep getting worse for them. but of course no one listens to Republicans because all they do is lie, just ask President "You can keep your insurance" Obama.

When Cheney challenged the detractors to find another company who could get the job done, no one could name one. yet, still it is a scandal that haunts his legacy. Obama gave the contract to supporters of his and they failed miserably and several other companies said they could have done a better job for a fraction of the time and money and asked to bid to fix it and Obama instead gave more non-competes to more of his big donors. and no one but FOX seems to think this an issue.

So Cheney had only one company that could fix the issues in Iraq and it was a time senstive project so it was awarded non-compete. Big scandal though no alternatives could be found.

Barack has hundreds of companies that have done similar things, there was almost three years to do it and most companies said it could be done in months. He awards it to his buddies. No scandal.

Why?

He is still lying and we have undeniable proof. The whole party has been lying to people and people still quote to me lines from them that they cannot substantiate. They keep telling me that Fox News, Anne Coulter and Glenn Beck are always lying but cannot come up with a single example. (And Anne Coulter is a bit nutty so it should be easy but so far all the evidence supports her writings) And they tell me Rush Limbaugh is a stupid racist and yet I cannot find a single example of him being proved wrong or a racist statement. And the statement that he kept being blamed for was found to be made up by a liberal and he still did not get an apology or the claims recanted by any of the media that promoted it. Yet there is video of both Joe Biden and Harry Reid making very clearly racist comments and they are claimed to be not racist. It makes no sense that anyone with intellectual integrity could support them.

That is merely hearsay and yet every liberal I know quotes Democrats about what Republicans are supposedly saying and then prove the Republicans wrong based on this. This is called a Stawman argument and it is in inherently flawed.

I hear the same from some Republicans but not as often. I also hear it from atheists saying what christians believe even though I cannot find any Christian who believes it and I hear it from Christians about what atheists believe when it is only a small minority of emotional atheists who believe it (emotional meaning they decided to be atheists because they don't like religious people versus coming to the conclusion from the process of logic.)

Most countries start having an economic crisis when the debt to GDP gets around 100%. The USA now has theirs at 109%. If countries stop lending us money then the debt ceiling ceases to matter and we have to cut back on entitlements which make up about 50% of our govt spending. So everyone suffers if Obama cannot agree to a fix with anybody because he knows he is always right. This has only gotten worse under Obama and the ACA is set to make it still worse.

BTW, Social security expenditures exceeds military spending and so do other entitlement programs not counting the ACA so quit the ridiculous comments about how military spending is more than all entitlements combined. We still do not really know what the ACA is going to cost us but it is predicted to be very high.

If all you can do is defend Obama or attack military spending then do not bother posting. Entitlements is what is still going up every year and what will cause us to go into bankruptcy.

The previous budget, continuing resolutions and debt ceiling increases (such as the one Senator Obama took part in a few years ago) that justifies no compromise on the side of the president or the calling of Republicans terrorists? Would not President's Obama description of the Republicans been just as applicable with him a few years ago?

They are deliberately shutting down private businesses to make the govt shutdown worse.

They are arresting people for disagreeing with the CORE education requirements.

They are blocking overlooks and open air locations just to make the shutdown worse even though it costs more to do this than to leave it open.

And this is in addition to what it has done through the IRS, EPA, NLRB, NSA and so many other agencies.

How soon before we have people being arrested in the middle of the night with so many people justifying this behavior?

IF you are not aware of these things, wake up before it is too late.

It takes more money to close an open air memorial than to leave it open. So why barricade them unless it is a political ploy by our president to make the government shutdown look worse than it is. The video of the WWII veterans being blocked from going to the WWII Memorial showed more park rangers in it than I saw the whole time I visited the whole plaza. Does not look like a shutdown to me.

Is it not obvious that the shutdowwn is created by the Democrats when they vote to not do waht has always been done and meet with the Republican leaders and work out a compromise? Did Obama himself say that with our form of government, compromise means that no one gets 100% of what they want and yet he (along with Harry Reid) is now demanding 100%. And while this is going on, Cory Booker (D) drops in the polls for a senate seat in NJ. Not everyone is believing the lie foisted on us by the media that this is all the Republicans fault. They can see that Obama is just playing kid games with our country and saying he is just going to take the ball and go home.
