To all those who believe they have had experiences, how have you known you have had one and what did it feel like? to all those who haven't or simply don't believe, how do you think people have these and where does it come from?

I want a variety of answers, from Christians, Jews, Hindus, Atheists, Agnostics, etc. I really want to know what you all think.

what did it mean when my girlfriend (now an ex-girlfriend) and a girl who flirted with me (who had a boyfriend she was going to go visit) both said that I seemed different from other men? in a good way?

I'm not trying to be rude, absent minded, or anything, I have lots of friends who are LGBT and respect and love them all as people.

The only thing I'm not quite sure of is if it's at all possible that perhaps there in fact is a way to not be L,G or B.

As I ask, I am looking for a lower-spec game for my middle-spec computer, really the only thing I don't have is a lot of ram (about 512) or a fancy video card (I have an intel chip)

ok, here's the skinny, I have a girlfriend from Wales, yes, Wales (it's in the U.K.) I met her over the summer at a summer camp and we decided we'd try the whole long distance thing. The last time I know that I'll see her is the 26th.

so, 1) is this a good idea to keep a relationship with someone so far away?

2) how can I make long distances work easier or better than what I hear?

Why is it that we humans, or at least people that I know seem to want the unattainable?

Logically, it makes no sense, the mind knows that the goal can never be reached and it'd be best to want something else.

but since the mind is not logical as well as logical, we want what we simply cannot have, the recognition of that fact might make us want it even more.

So, basically, does this help us? is there a way to stop it?

How many atheists don't believe in g-d _because_ of a religion and not spirtuality?

I want to know because in the answers that I've seen that atheists are against certain religions or practices of religions.

Why does everyone have to work so hard to prove themselves right and get rid of those wrong (in any number of ways.)?

Why so much arguements and the fervor to be evangelical (converting others, not just in the christian sense), and not just from those with a religion?

In my view, it seems silly, humanity could work so many wonders if we stopped these arguements. I have my belief, you have yours, when my end comes, whatever happens, will happen, whatever I believed. As long as I lived a good, healthy life, I will be fine with whatever happens.

I really don't get the 'other than engagement' ring thing, I mean, I know a guy will give it to a girl he likes, and i know it'll be all special and stuff, but...

I don 't know, I guess I want to know how many women want these 'special'/bfgf rings.

Basically I think I have trained my self to think something to the equivalent of: 'yeah, right' or 'that'll happen soon' about having a gf, even though sometimes I let myself get swept up (for the wrong reasons and to the wrong people).

Anyway, I really shouldn't be feeling so bad about myself, and to top it off I'm thinking if I should and should not post this (obviously i did).

I'm probably a psychiatrist's best investment, but I don't want to go see doctors or get medicine.

I know this 15 year old girl who has some issues of sorts. she keeps going back and forth to this guy she liked or still likes. I'm going to only say she had a 'significant' relationship with him. anyway, they broke up and now she's with a previous ex who she now loves, or says she does. I'm wondering if I should say something to her, it seems problamatic for her to keep doing this to herself, going for the guy who she thought she'd marry, or going for the guy who she only used before. (in that way, yes.)

Being self-doubting as I tend to be, I'm wondering if I have any feelings for her that transfer into this and want to see her with me instead of going to the same guy (and having problems) or chasing an old one (in what seems to be a spontaneous transfer of affection).

Should I talk to her or something or should I just let her mature on her own and realize her own mistakes? or am I just going crazy?

I've been thinking lately about psychology, especially my own psychology. I'm a pretty strange person, but then again, everyone is strange and there is no norm. That's besides the point. In this modern world, we have all sorts of 'diseases' and 'disabilities' and medicines, my question is, is this just inherent to us human beings? Must we find something genetic or something wrong with the way our body works and blame that? If so, why? If not, why not? I want to have a real good discussion about this topic.
