She told me she is going to get a $200,000 grant, and an FBI agent is going to bring it to her. They started texting and talking, and she said he wants to marry her, and now something that sounds totally off the wall, is that she says the President is now involved, she can't believe this is happening to her, won't tell me why the President is involved, or anything about it, only that she can't tell me, and she is totally elated, and Very excited. This sounds to me like a total scam, and I'm afraid she is going to be hurt badly. When I try to get her to consider this guy is lying, she shuts me down. She said he told her his badge number, but she will not check him out. She says she trusts him and wouldn't do that. This has all come about within this month. Oh, and she said she had to pay all the taxes on the $200,000 before it could be released to her. She wouldn't tell me how much, but that she did pay it. She will not listen to reason, and would shut me out if I persist. I have no clue as to how to help her. She did tell me the name of the man. I cannot find anything about him online. Advice is welcome.

Someone I know said they were contacted by an FBI agent by phone or internet, I'm not sure, who will be delivering a large amount grant to her. This surely cannot be. What is the scam? He gave her his badge number but she will not check him out.

A 16 year old girl is texting a boy in Egypt. She says she has checked him out on facebook and is legit. He has sent her pictures of him in Alexandria, and she has sent him at least one picture of herself. Likely more. She does not want me to tell her mother as she is sure he is ok. Their conversations do seem like teen chatter, thought she met him on chatous. I tell her not to believe everything and she smiles real big and says she can handle it--trust her. Yesterday she even spoke to him via the net, I'm not sure how that works, but she needed the country code to do it. Help! I don't want to betray her trust, but I am worried!

My friends wife left him a year ago and took their 3 kids to go live with her boyfriend. He had a trucking job that worked him all night and then some. He had to keep it to pay the bills, though it was hard. Depression set in and he could hardly cope missing his kids and wife. Then his wife's boyfriend kicked her out. With no place to go she brought the kids back to him, since she was homeless. He could not get, let alone afford to pay for a babysitter all night while he worked all night & all day while he slept, so he had to quit his job. That eventually made him homeless what with not being able to afford his rent, etc., including the child support he'd been paying for a child from an earlier marriage. Depression still being a factor he is now in the position of losing his drivers license if he can't pay 700.00 to 800.00 by June 24 he will lose his drivers license. If he does lose it he will have to pay $2,000.00 to get it back. Does that make sense to anyone? To lose your drivers license if you can't pay your child support? How you going to pay anything if you can't get to a job????? He can't even get a fishing license. Anyway, does anyone know what he can do to keep from losing his license? Thanks.

He worked a truck driving job nights for a couple of years. The company had him regularly working 10 to 12 hours a night. It was hard work and he would come home exhausted, and sleep all day. He couldn't quit because he had to pay the bills.His wife was very unhappy and left him last spring and moved in with her new boyfriend who lived a block away. She took their 3 kids with her, so early morning he unexpectedly came home to an empty house. He was devastated, though he kept working cause he still had to pay the bills, and the hope was that she'd come back.

Well she didn't. After 4 months her boyfriend threw her out and she was homeless. He did not want her at all anymore, but he did get to have his kids. That was great, but then he couldn't go to work. A sitter was too expensive, since he was working all night and sleeping all day. He's lost his job now, and will be losing his home. For other reason's he'll be losing his license, too.

He is so down he can't make himself do anything he knows he has to do to survive. He's out of money, soon to be out of a home, and even out of a license. He sees no way out and has all but given up. His Mom and Dad are at their wits ends, too, as he is just not functional.

Where can he go for aid with food, housing, and or income. They say he doesn't even make needed phone calls, so he definitely needs help with the depression. Things are such a mess they can't figure out what to do, where to get help, or even the next step to take.

Yahoo is giving me fits with all their new changes, so I made a g-mail account. Turns out it is even worse. Now I have my yahoo mail being transferred to the g-mail account, and disappearing from my yahoo account. I fixed it to leave e-mails on my yahoo account, but even though it's been "fixed" it only leaves about 15 e-mails on it from today and yesterday. That's it! This is really driving me nuts. I'd like to close them both and don't know how to do that, and retain an e-mail that does not have all the crazy new "options". Just a simple get, see,send, and store account like yahoo used to be.

I will greatly appreciate any help.

Last months rent was not paid till 2 days before this months rent was due, and they don't have this months rent.

I should take her to the vet, but my $ is short. I put eye drops in her eye. The artificial tears. What else can I do?

We have a big puppy. He'll be one in February. He loves to play, and he runs like the wind. A car went by and he chased it nearly to the corner a half mile away. My husband tied him to a building for punishment, (on a long lead for 20 minutes) where he began digging a hole. That's another problem.

Right now my dryer is not vented, so my house gets warm and humid when I use it. Yuck! The alternatives are vent to the crawl space, or cellar. Thanks

The cable tv cord screws into the tv, but it's the only place to screw in a cord and the vcr has a screw in cord, too.

He is a semi truck driver, and they have 3 children, 4, 3, & 9 months. She says she works 24/7, but does no housework, no dishes, no laundry, change diapers, sweep, mop, or anything. He comes home exhausted, and she says she needs help and expects him to do these things. She says "F--- you" to him and complains constantly that she needs him to help more. She has depression, but does not want to go to a dr or take pills. What should he do?
