4 AnswersFish4 years agoWhy doesn't Y!A like ellipses?
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay10 years agoBesides "Imagine," what would you add to an atheist hymnal?
I'm voting for Janis Joplin's "Mercedes Benz."
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoCan a state be kicked out of the union?
OK, we went to war to prevent secession, but what if we wanted, say Texas, to go its own way. Could we kick it out constitutionally?
1 AnswerGovernment10 years agoDoes it make sense to spend $3000 on a veterinary bill for a single domestic cat when you can't afford to pay?
for an MRI that you need yourself?
9 AnswersCats10 years agoWhat religion are you most fearful of? Why?
Islam scares the bejeezus out of me!
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhy don't Minnesotans know the difference between borrow & lend?
Even the so-called educated ones. Uff da!

When you click on "connect to the internet" it says it's connected, but nothing opens up.
4 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoWhy do you feel obliged to save me?
The other day I was in a group, and happened to mention that I was an atheist. A "born again" felt obliged to come up to me afterward and attempt to save me. I'm not lost. I'm not unhappy, and I'm not in need of rescuing. What gives?
26 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI've given up magical thinking, mostly, but what about the economy?
What's really backing the dollars and euros out there? I am fearful that if you trace them to their sources, you will find nothing.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAgain I'm depressed, for at least the 50th time in my life. Again I want to die....?
...for what, the 1000th time? Should I just hold my breath, knowing that it's passed before? Or should I just say, "screw it. It's not going to get any better." I'm sick of it. Really, and I just want it over. What do you think?
3 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoIs the new policy at Y!A that we "suffer fools gladly?"
I cannot believe the number of violations I've received in the past month. I've been visiting Y!A for years, and rarely received a violation notice, and I get plenty of best answers. But if someone is blowing smoke out of his derriere, I generally let them know it. This could be my last question, so, let me just say it's been fun!
3 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhat was the last answer you gave that got a violation notice?
If you haven't received one, then you're just not trying hard enough!
6 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoAre you ever amazed at all the superstition you see promoted here on Y!A?
I know I am. If I didn't know better, I'd swear we were still living in the Middle Ages.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you ever feel like you're just visiting and observing this planet?
And that someday soon the Mother ship will pick you up?
19 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoI have plenty of reasons not to vote for McCain, but why should I vote for Obama?
All I know about him is that he wants to be president. And that words like "protean" and "impute" slip off his tongue more easily than they do from most people. Give me something positive, not the negatives, please.
23 AnswersElections1 decade agoShould I vote for McCain, choose a write-in candidate, or just leave it blank for president?
The local races here are still interesting, so staying home is not an option.
