If Christmas was moved to March...?
When Jesus was supposedly actually born, and all Pagan traditions were dropped from it (tree/presents/lights etc), would you continue to celebrate it if it meant just spending the day in church, worshipping Jesus?

What do you have against these beautiful creatures??

If not, why do you expect others, who aren't Christian, to do so?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoiPhone iOS6 problems--help!?
I'm currently overseas. I have no 'phone' connectivity because I suspended it back in May. I work off of WiFi for the time being. Before I downloaded iOS6, I had no issues accessing the itunes store or you tube or anything like that. It was all in English. After the update, You Tube dropped off my phone all together, and when I pull up the internet, it's all in Arabic now. When I try to update any apps, it tells me that I'm currently connected to the Saudi Arabia network and to switch to the US network to continue...I have no idea how to do this!
Any ideas??
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans9 years agoPottermore: spells and galleons?
I deleted my first account and created a second. Now I don't know why I only have 3 spells available to me for dueling? I had several on my first account. I just finished the first book again.
Also, I know that a lot of people create potions for house points...where do you get extra money for ingredients? Throughout the first book I only found about an additional 10 galleons or so...

based on religious reasons, could it be voted on and push it through?
Why or why not?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoitunes question: empty library and new device/syncing other devices?
I have an itunes account on my home computer and a nice music library. I just installed itunes on my laptop but can't access my library...is that not possible? Can you not access your itunes account from any computer; is the library computer specific?
I don't have access to my home computer (deployed).
I have my iphone and my ipod touch, but I read that if I 'sync' them to an empty library it will erase everything on my device and I don't want to do that...I just want to transfer some music from these devices to a new device, since it seems that I can't access my library.
What's the point in having an Apple id and itunes account if you can't access it from anywhere?
2 AnswersMusic & Music Players9 years agoChristians: prove that Jesus was real and Mithras was not.?
Can you? There is no historical account for either, both had books written about them, both has churches or temples built in their name. Both were 'born in Dec', both were born of a virgin, both were sacrificed... Prove that one is real and the other isn't.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChristians: is it still a sin....?
To have sex with a women while she's on her period?
Since that falls under the moral laws that were NOT fulfilled by Jesus...
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChristians: What Law did Jesus come to fulfill?
There seems to be a bit of a dispute over what you all believe, as I have now been told that Jesus came to fulfill the 'law' that he was coming...which leads me to believe that someone is confused and it's not me.
If Jesus said that not a word will disappear from the Law until Heaven and Earth disappear, wasn't he saying that the Laws of the OT will remain in effect since he is not here to abolish them and abolish =/= fulfill?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChristians: when Jesus said...?
That nothing will disappear from the law until until heaven and earth disappear and everything is accomplished, what did he mean?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChristians: Which do you believe...?
That hell is just the grave; the state of being dead; separation from God...
Or
That hell is a place of eternal torment?
and why?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoAbrahamic Theists: If you believe that your god is male...?
Why are you putting limits on 'him'? To say that an all mighty, all perfect, omnipotent being has a gender is rather insulting, isn't it?
and if god 'dictated' or inspired the writing of the holy books, then why didn't 'he' also create a genderless word to describe 'him'?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChristians: would you frequent a store...?
That openly gave money to organizations that worked to ban the mention of 'God' in any public venue?
No more 'in God we trust' on money, no more 'under God' in the Pledge etc.
Every time you walk into these stores and purchase something, a portion of YOUR money goes to support the above. How often would you continue to shop there?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoTheists: where does your 'soul/spirit' come from?
Those that believe in the Abrahamic God...are your souls present in heaven and with God before you are born? Are they a part of the Holy Spirit?
Those not of the Abrahamic faiths...do you believe in a 'centralized' place that the spirit comes from?
Atheists that *don't* believe in a soul/spirit...yes, I know you believe there is no such thing...you really don't need to tell me. If you DO, same question...where does it come from?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoMuslims: serious question?
What is the significance of women wearing black while men wear white? Does it specify these colors in the Qur'an?
Also, (and I'm not sure if many of you will know this) why in countries like Saudi Arabia is it required for a woman to wear the burka in public, but the men are not required to wear the religious clothes?
Please be polite, non-muslims, if you don't have an answer don't say something stupid like 'because women are treated like sh*t/not respected etc. I don't care about your opinions, I'm looking for REAL answers by those who actually know.
And before anyone assumes, no I'm not Christian. no I'm not atheist.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChristians: Do you ever wish?
That the god of the bible was nicer? or that Hell didn't exist?
Or do you like that, according to your religion, Hell exists and God is vengeful?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoAbrahamic Theists: How does your holy book account for Neanderthals?
According to the creation story, God created the Universe, the Earth, the animals and then modern man...Adam and Eve. How do you account for Neanderthals? There is sufficiant evidence for their existance, so how could they exist before Adam and Eve if A&E were the first humanoids?
