  • How do you find 4 leaf clovers?

I know you have to brush over the patch with your hand or foot and look closely for a 4 leaf clover, BUT - I was wondering if I should look for a characteristic in the patch...like if there are blooms or buds. So what kind of clover patch offers the best chance of finding a 4 leaf clover.

  • when water is on there's a thumping sound?

what could possibly make a thumping sound in the water pipes (I assume) when the hot water runs? I never noticed this before...only since the winter months. I thought it was because of the cold temps - but it continues to thump. Any ideas?

  • Martha Stewart's people skills?

Now that she is back on the air, I notice she has a number guests to work and learn at her side. Given this new format of the show's presentation, does anyone notice how she fumbles when trying to interact with her guests? Sometimes it goes smoothly, but other times she seems to trip over her whisk. In her former show, she just stood behind the counter and talked to the camera about her fabulous life...cooking techniques...and the 1800's farm house. I laugh when she tries to interact with her guests and uses the word "uhm" to great lengths. Anyone share this opinion?

  • ASCII codes?

I can use my PC to make symbols for copyright and others like §, ¿ and Ô by using the alt key and the corresponding code using the key pad of numbers on the right side if the keyboard - But I can't on a laptop as there is no # keypad on the right and using the numbers that are above the letters doesn't wwork.

  • Voles or Moles?

Last Summer I had small raised tunnels throught my garden and in the grass of the back yard. I saw four of them at different times and was able to kill them (YUK) - their nose looked like a small drill bit. Now in the spring I don't see the tunnels - did they leave? Will they come back? How do I get rid of them?

FYI - I saw the same tunnels at work and talked to the maintainance man, he confirmed voles or moles, but again, I don't see the tunnels in my yard.

  • Cell Phone deal, but the transaction was botched?

I bought the Sony Ericsson phone as a replacement phone for my cingular account (model # doesn't matter). I went to radio shack and the guy was such a moron! The whole transaction took over an hour and by the time I signed off on the deal, I forgot to ask about my free extra phone as described in the ad. I had to get out of the store as my day was running very late!

Do I have any recourse with Radio Shack for getting that extra phone?

  • I have a house to sell and need advice?

I have a house in city limits and it sits at a site where developers will but-out properties...eventually. While the neighborhood has turned into a slum and I have retreated to a rural cottage property - the house has fell into ruin, but is subject to buyout, but I am sick of waiting - what are my options for a buyer? Are there people out there who scoop up properties to wait on the buy-out ant 1 1/2 times the value? The assessed value I fought to have raised after the city lowered it by $30,000.00! I still pay a mortgage and would sell at what I owe - mid $40,000.00 - 2 1/2 victorian beautiful interior - needs some restoration, some major, but a handy man could handle it.

  • Wireless connection - Is this stealing?

It seems I am picking up my neighbor's wireless connection on my laptop. I am wireless enabled through school on a T1 line. At my sister's, I can pick up her wireless connection immediately, but my neighbor's connection only shows up after I dial up...and surfing is much faster. Do I nedd to tell him about this? Or should I just enjoy the instances of faster surfing?
