I've liked Burberry Brit, Dolce and Gabana Light Blue, Aqua di Gio. Was thinking of buying Versace Homme (based on a magazine insert (!!) I can't see spending $300 on Creed or Tom Ford just for the status. Every list I see is sponsored by advertisers. Any suggestions that aren't like, Axe or Stetson (LOL). THANKS!

I don't mind a rough ride and my 09 Ford Ranger hasn't needed a single repair, but I just have a yen for a classic Jeep. Of course, I once gave in to a yen for a classic 1971 VW Beetle and lived to regret it.

I have some bonds left to me by my Dad-- they are US Treasury Bonds Series EE and were purchased in l986 and l987. I don't know anything about bonds but my sister told me they 'matured' in a couple years and would be worth lots more. I don't think she really knows more than I do. Any suggestions or sites to suggest? (I'm sure my bank can help me, but was looking for an answer from a third party). Thanks!

I've got a hand me down MAC ibookG4 -- OSX 10.4.11. It seems fine except that the letters have worn off some of the keys (ridiculous) My main complaint is that it's heavy and makes my lap sore (my joints aren't what they used to be). I don't game or make films or anything like that-- I like to keep it free from as much junk as possible. But when do I know I should upgrade? Can't really afford THAT, but should I be upgrading, have it cleaned up at the MAC store where they will try to sell me a new laptop, or what? Thanks for any input.

Second question: I'm running a MAC OSX 10.4.11 with a G4 processor. Which Photoshop Elements will work the best (fewest problems)? I'm really just photo retouching mostly. Thanks for ANY help....

OK I love the Monster Java drinks (Original or Mean Bean). How bad are they REALLY (the taurine, panax ginseng bla bla). My gripe is that they are expensive. Are there any other energy drinks with a good kick (a healthy kick, if possible) that don't taste like pee? Thanks.

Okay I thought OEM was a company. Apparently not. So I paid for a copy of Photoshop Elements 4 for Mac and the four serial numbers in the "Read Me" file will not let me finish the installation. It says they are invalid. The company has been in communication with me but keeps sending me the download, still without a valid serial. They claim I will see a refund shortly.

I purchased a program and downloaded it to my old imac-- the program is kinda big-- Photoshop Elements-- then I got a laptop and really need the program THERE. I keep very little stuff on my laptop so haven't bought a separate storage device thing. So, I'm wondering if I can pay to upload an application someplace, store it for a couple hours maybe, and then download it to my laptop. Or am I better off buying one of those separate storage things? Radio Shack has one for MAC for about $70...it's just that I don't really need it for anything else and I'm afraid it'll be difficult anyway..... THANKS FOR ANY HELP!!!

A very sweet lady is growing depressed that her Drs. aren't helping her. She's black, adopted, so no genetic info. Symtoms: numb fingers that FEEL swollen but aren't--they DO flex. Wrist pain. Now she's dropping things (can't feel the item in her hand). numbness going up arms, a tingling. Now pain in tailbone area down leg-feels bruised.Trouble raising her leg. Pain turning head sometimes. Today she had a nosebleed (new!) Pain radiates up her head and she's sleeping in a lounge chair to ease pains. The finger numbness and tingling up arms is most annoying, it seems. She's finally getting to go to a good teaching hospital, but what does this sound like, you Drs. and medical students?

I live in a crime-ridden Southern US city, murders everyday. Just got back frm Vancouver and was amazed by lack of crime, friendliness, (perceived) safety. Wondering what the crime rate is in Vancouver, also does anyone know the cultural makeup figures. My city is 60% urban black and unfortunately that seems to increase crime a lot.

I'm not into politics, feeling that there are paybacks, favors and general corruption everywhere. Wealth, decent looks, connections, charisma wins every time. SORRY for the cynicism.... BUT this IS certainly an interesting election year!

I left a big corporation (horrible corporate culture) with 18 years of awesome benefits. Couldn't continue paying the big COBRA fees and am currently looking for affordable insurance for a poor person, healthy, (great BP and cholesterol, non-smoker, non-drinker, ...bla bla....)

The rates are just obscene for anyone on a limited income.

So far, the insurance salespeople I've spoken with give me the creeps and sound like used-car salesmen..

I worked 3 years for a boss I knew to be hot-tempered & often unprincipled. I left--she promised to mail my check. Two weeks later I inquired and was told "Oh it was mailed the same day, let me investigate."

Finally she says she'll write another one, knowing that I wouldn't cash the first one if it showed up unexpectedly (and I certainly wouldn't) Since, I've shown up, emailed, gone again today only to learn that she HASN'T even written the replacement check and her guru friend/accountant says she should put a stop payment on the first check (costing $25) and deduct it from MY check....I hung up, and then I start thinking, "What the f...? WHY should I pay that $25? A friend says, that's the cost of doing business, it's HER decision to stop-payment--not a fee I should have to share. I think I should refuse the partial check but what's my next step? Her shadiness is more offensive than her trying to carve $25 out of a $190 paycheck. Any suggestions?

Ok, this is a powdered antiobiotic for chickens. It says to mix 200-400 mg to a gallon. Or 400-800mg to a gallon for a really sick chicken.

I don't know how to measure anything this small and I don't have a scale that would help- Could someone give me an idea of what 200-400 mg would look like? Thanks very much!!!

There was a full page ad in the richmond paper. It said it was on "Paul Harvey News". What does anyone know about it It sounds great. New kind of heating technology-- reduces your heat bill-doesn't get hot enough to burn you. blah, blah, whazzup?

Mabel has had ear infections due to the peculiar makeup of cocker-type ears for-forever. One vet cleaned them with a water pik while she was sedated, she's been on antibiotics, some suggested remedies have worked for awhile, and I clean them as best I can--they're puffy inside and smelly and full of black yeasty stuff. My vet said she really needs the total ear oblation (I think) where surgeons remove the entire inner ear, as I understand it. She shakes her head, whimpers, rubs them and has even hit her ears so hard on a wall that they became swollen with blood that required draining. The operation is some $1500.00. That's just impossible for me. Even the vet said she wouldn't do it for her own dog (maybe just to make me feel better). I give her enteric aspirin some days or a benedryl, I've used over the counter and prescribed solutions and ointments. Just bought another one today--Sulfodene Ear Cleaner with Aloe, but it contains alcohol-which stings. Any ideas? I'm desperate & DONE.

Should I pitch them or can I grind them and maybe mix it in with the better stuff (Gevalia or Starbuck's for example). The bag has never been opened but they've been in a cupboard, not the fridge. Thanks!

Okay, I've seen lots of questions about people wanting to start petsitting businesses. I contract visits for a high-end established business, but I'm feeling a bit used. I'm agreeable (OK, a people pleaser) and she's very hot tempered-goes through people like kleenex. I've worked for her for about 2 years with no increase in $, $8 per 1/2 hr. visit, My commute time and gas of course not paid. One day I spent over $6.50 in gas. She acts like I'm on a pager. making requests for same-day visits, for ex. I spent 30 years in the advertising world--we had RUSH rates for stuff like this. People should pay more for the inconvenience. Not sure if I have any options here as she is a bit....odd? She fired my closest friend for getting bitten (this friend has 20+ years SOLID animal and animal-hosp experience) & took something like 9 mos to pay the workman's comp. bill. I'm looking elsewhere, but any ideas on my rights NOW?
