  • What are some sites or books about the Muslim religion?

Today I came across an old friend's child book about Muhammad, and realized I haven't a single clue about the religion. Considering how the world is going nowadays, I feel it's crucial to become more knowledgeable in worldly religions.

Other than the Qur'an, are there any good websites or books about the subject?

  • How do I find my fostered siblings?

I have a few half siblings that I have unfortunately never had the opportunity to meet due to my biological father's lack of parenting skills. I have heard that there is a government site where I could put some information about myself incase the siblings wanted to find family members.

  • What type of breed is this dog?

He's medium sized, his bark is light and loud, and his tail loosely curls. He's very hyper, and runs quickly (I don't know if that helps). I'm almost positive he's a mix.

  • Why do animals hate random people?

I was taking my uncle's dog for a walk and came across two women, one the dog liked, the other...not so much. He automatically went into submissive mode, and hid behind me and my little cousin. The woman commented how animals have never liked her.

One of my close friends hasn't any luck with animals either, whether they were her parents pets, or just random animals she met. She's been attacked, bitten, snarled, hissed, or avoided altogether.

Is there any explanation as to why some people are just naturally disliked by animals?

My grandma is taking me to get my own photo I.D because I am moving from North Dakota to Hawaii.

She says I need 2 forms of I.D, and she says it will be my Drivers Permit and I.D. for the airports.

My sister is telling me that it is illegal to have 2 state identifications. She says my birth certificate and permit for the two forms of I.D.

  • How to Gauge My Ears?

About the size of a normal crayon, nothing too much. None of my friends are into it, but I really want to do it. How do sizes work? What size was the one I described? My lobes have 3 piercings in them already, will a gauge mess up the second one?

Can I get it a professional to do it so I don't f.u.ck up?

  • My cat is growling and hissing after given a new toy?

I have 2 cats, both neutered males. My original was Tigger, I brought home Patches a few months ago. Tigger is a little over a year old, Patches is about 2 I believe. They get along perfectly fine.

I just came home from work and brought one new toy home for them. Tigger immediately started playing with it. As I was drinking water in the kitchen, Tigger began to growl. He was staying still, crouching, with the new toy in his mouth, Patches was a foot away staring at him. Patches wanted to play with the toy too. Tigger will let me take it from his mouth and let Patches play, but he snagged it back and ran under the kitchen table with a hiss, and began growling again. When his growling started getting nasty I took Patches into my bedroom.

I don't know what do to...should I take the toy away? Did I make a mistake getting only one?

  • Naturally "forgetting" to breathe?

I have this friend, and her father breathes abnormally, not in the health hazard sense though. He pointed out that after he takes a breath of air, he doesn't need another for about 30 seconds. At first I thought he was pulling my leg, because it does sound silly. Although, on random occasions I've seen him do it without him noticing me watching. My friend backs it up that he's always been like that. His wife is a CNA, and she tried to properly explain it before we got interrupted, (I THINK she even might have disagreed). Unfortunately, I can't remember specifically what she said about it.

Is it some abnormality that few humans don't need to breathe as much as the majority of us do, or is he just weird?

  • Casual sex with newly bi friend?

My best friend asked me if it would be awkward for us to "experiment", purely for the sake that she's bi-curious, and I'm bi. At first I didn't feel comfortable with the idea, only because I didn't know how our friendship would be affected. After a lot of reassuring I gave in.

Now she's come out as bisexual, (even though she's never been with a guy.) The problem is, it seems like she only wants to be bisexual with me. She won't tell anyone her sexuality, which I can understand because her family are a bunch of strong Catholics, and most of her friends are from her church. She claims our friendship is strong enough to have casual sex here and there.

I don't know if she just wants to have casual sex because she can't come out and get an actual girlfriend, or if it's because she likes me more than a friend, (I hope not.) She's really very sweet, and usually doesn't argue with what I say, but she's very insistent on us having a sexual relationship. I, on the other hand, want a romantic relationship, not a closet one, and not with my best friend.

I've royally F-cked up. How to I straighten this out without losing our friendship? Is our friendship beyond repair?

  • Tips on Moving to Germany (Education and Citizenship)?

I have plans of getting my liberal arts in America, completing my German courses, and then continuing my education in Germany. This is a long term plan that will take a lot of time and work, but something I desperately want.

I currently live with a friend who is planning the same future, we're going to do this together. In the end, we'd like to live in Germany and obtain citizenship.

Suggestions and advice on education, citizenship, culture, and moving would be helpful.

  • 6 Year Old Abusing Her Younger Sister?

Layla is 6 years old, and Harmony is 3 years old, they are sisters. While my friend babysits them, we've seen Layla do and say some pretty questionable things to Harmony. In each situation Harmony hasn't done anything to provoke Layla.

-Recently, Harmony was just laying on the floor, not saying or doing anything, and Layla reached down and started choking her with one hand. Even though we saw it, she denied it, and then she said she was helping her up, both are lies.

-Another is they were swinging on their swing set, and Layla smacked Harmony and started laughing. When she was caught she said that it was an accident and she didn't mean to.

-Today Layla cruelly tells Harmony that she is nothing.

-Layla also throws toys at Harmony as hard as she can, although she can't always aim well.

-She also tells Harmony to do stuff that the babysitter specifically told them both NOT to.

Layla isn't mean to the 3 dogs they have though, just her sister. We see Layla hug her sister, and kiss her sometimes, but she can still be pretty nasty for a 6 year old girl.

The two are very different, Harmony is obedient and sweet, while we feel Layla wants more attention and misbehaves. Although every time Layla does something horrible to Harmony, it's when she thinks no one is looking. Is this normal behavior for kids her age?

Should my friend, their babysitter, mention something to the parents?

  • Tattoo Artist Advice...?

I just got my first tattoo on my wrist Friday night. The artist told me to NOT moisturize, and don't touch the scab that comes, but smack it if it itches.....but 3 friends said to use A & D ointment, I did.

Although, my friend Krys found out and is now bringing me Vaseline tomorrow at school because she said she and her mom used A & D and their tattoos faded.

BUT another friend, Jay, said that it was just the tattoo parlor Krys and her mom went to (apparently that parlor sucked, it's closed now) because Jay's tattoo that he got there needs to be touched up once a year because of the crappy ink quality (Jay has about 5 tats).

But my other friend Enna has many tattoos and she and her family always use A & D...

    I'm lost.

When should I stop using A & D? Should I use something else? It's not weeping anymore. I wash it with antibacterial soap 3 times a day, is that all I should be doing at this time?

When do I stop covering my tattoo before I go to sleep?
