  • What are short stock sales?

A stock now said there are no available shares to short. Does this mean eventually there will be a short squeeze in which a lot of covering will take place and drive the price higher?

  • can unemployment rate be reduced?

I just applied for pandemic unemployment assistance (PUC) which comes after using 6 months of regular benefits. My weekly rate was $380. After I applied for PUC it looks like my rate is in half at $190. Many people are already on this program which includes an extra $300 a week until around Labor Day. Should my unemployment rate be cut in half. I am in Pennsylvania.

  • Could a bad tie rod prevent alignment?

This auto shop had a front alignment on Groupon for $40. this seemed like a good offer so I got it. When he looked at my car he said it needs an inner tie rod. He said this work will be needed for a few hundred dollars. He said he can't do the alignment without this work. Can an alignment still be done with a bad tie rod?

  • How does 1099 pay affect unemployment?

A guy said he can have me work for 1099 pay of $600 a week with no taxes taken out. If I am getting $800 a week in unemployment income does this mean I will lose the unemployment by accepting the job?

  • is wheel alignment needed?

I want to have an inner tie rod installed on a 2007 Chevy Impala. They will say I will need an alignment. I go somewhere else for alignments. Do I really need to get the alignment when the tie rod is installed or can I get it done somewhere else a few days later?

  • Should people answers questions?

My brother moved away and never contacted his family for 20 years. He started visiting on holidays 5 years ago. When I ask him basic questions like about his business or how long he has lived at his apartment he will act like he didn't hear me and not answers it. Is my brother trying to hide part of his life by not letting me connect with him not answering basic questions?

I have a 2007 Chevy Impala. Under the hood it said SAE 5w30 where oil is added. I ended up buying SAE 5w20. This oil will just be to top it off. Does it really matter with these oil grades and will it be alright to use it for getting it to the full mark?

  • What are reasons for stock offerings?

It seems that sometimes a stock has something called an offering for shares. Usually the price goes down a little. Why wouldn't they just buy at the current market price? Is a stock offering a sign of a good or bad financial company?

  • Will worn brake pads wear rotors?

About 2 months ago a shop said I need brakes and the rotors are good. The place I go to has been closed for 2 months due to Covid 19 and just reopened. I went there today and he said the rotors are bad too. Once brake pads are so worn does it end up eating into the rotors and destroying them?

  • Am I being tested financially?

I am in my mom's house for two years since she passed away. I don't make much money and take care of a mentally ill brother. I have a brother that lives 5 hours away and around the time my mom passed he said what if I help financially to keep house but doesn't pay towards anything. I have a cousin that is representative payee for my ill brother and gets $1,100 monthly. My brother with me got sepsis 8 weeks ago and is recovering but can't walk yet. My cousin still pays electric, gas and phone and cable and used to give me $600 monthly for food and other expenses. My cousin said she can't give any money since my brother isn't home. With the loss of my mom's social security money and the other $600 I don't see how they feel I will keep house. I feel I will sell house. Am I being tested financially to see what I will do with all this loss of income and if I decide to sell house should I tell them first?

  • Will my job last much longer?

I started a job through a temporary agency the week of Thanksgiving. We mainly fill orders for Steelers merchandise like hats or shirts. Orders have really gone down since the Steelers lost. When I interviewed for the job they said the job will last based on how well the Steelers do. We were so busy before Christmas and had about a dozen extra people but they laid them all off but kept me only with the regular workers. I will say my work output is better than most working there. I now do other things since orders went down. Is there a chance I will get to continue at this job or will I likely be let go soon?

  • Will my brother care if not in mother's will?

My brother left us 20 years ago and never contacted us or told us where he lived. For some reason he started visiting every holiday three years ago. It is a five hour drive. My brother also must have paid about $30,000 to mom to help for a few years of property taxes and other things. My mom just passed away but doesn't have my brother in the will she made out 15 years ago since he avoids mom. My brother sounds to be doing well financially and didn't ask about inheritance or will. Will my brother expect part of the estate of my mom or may he never ask about it?

  • Can I use snow tires during summer?

I got an oil change today that usually includes rotating tires. The mechanic told me he isn't going to rotate mine. I asked him is it because they are old and he said something about if rotated they could affect my ride and something about being worn. I got these tires from an ad that they will be put in someones yard for whoever comes first. These tires had great tread so I took them in January and got them mounted on. I have drove them 7,000 miles. I don't know if they are snow tires or not. Even if these are a snow tire can't I still safely drive on them in the Summer?

  • Is a quiet engine a healthy one?

My car is a 2000 Buick Century. When I drive in a parking lot sometimes people don't seem to hear my car coming and walk right in front of me. I use a quart of oil every thousand miles which I guess isn't bad. My car engine seems quiet to me. Is a quiet engine a healthy one and does it sound like mine is good except for oil use?

  • If car brakes are never replaced will they fail?

In my state annual state inspections tell if brake pads are worn and need replaced. In most states without inspections it must be the owner that needs to know when they need brakes. If someone never replaced brake pads would they eventually fail and the owner could not stop vehicle at all and if they were going 40 MPH they could only stop car by hitting something?
