  • Is there AA for dogs?

My 1 year old female chocolate Labrador pure bred sits and begs for beer. She will whine and beg until you put a little in a bowl for her. She laps it up within seconds, making sure not to miss any, then begs for more, and this keeps going on and on. Any Help?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • My dog going to be HUGE?

I have 2 Chocolate Lab Puppys....but if you were to look at them you may not think they were young as they are, and our male looks full grown already except he still has some baby teeth. They are both 5 1/2 months old, and brother and sister. Our female weighs 50 pounds already, and our big "meathead" male weighs 70 pounds already, and he isnt fat at all, he is stocky and full muscle. He is solid. Is this basically mean he is going to be one of the HUGE 120-150 pound labs? Im worried this guy will eat me out of house and home!! Also he dosent relize how large he is, and tries to be a lap dog. It isnt too terrible if he trys it on me or my husband who are both experianced with labs, but we have a 18 month old and 3 year old daughters and are afraid he may try to be nice but actually hurt them with his size. We are constantly doing training, and he is slowly getting better, but he still has his "puppy" moments

  • help with potty training...?

my daughter is 2 years, 10 months old. We started potty training a week ago. I started by trying by just completly stopping diapers, and putting on panties. She kept going in panties, so I kept them off and put nothing on. Now, we have MAYBE one pee accident a day and no poop accident, she goes on the potty without me telling her while at home. But once I put those panties on her she automatically pees or poops in them. I try and tell her while I am putting on the panties that she needs to keep them clean and dry and when she needs to potty, mommy will help her pull her panties down if she needs help, but she continues to pee in them. She is a BIG Dora fan, and got her some Dora panties, and that was the only accident she has had today was when she was wearing them. I know she cant go bare butted all the time, and I am not going back to diapers. (I have a 1 year old to diaper too) How can I get her to understand that she needs to go on the potty when she wearing panties and they arent a diaper?

  • potty training my 2 1/2 year old?

my daughter is 2 years 9 months old, will be 3 on December 9. She rarely uses the potty, no matter how much we encourage her. We have showed her the "big girl panties" that she can wear when she starts going on the potty all the time. One of the biggest issues is our bathroom is upstairs. I tried having it downstairs, but that seemed to discourage her more. She has only went poop on it like 3 or 4 times, and potty maybe 2-3 times a week.....I dont know how to encourage her to go on the potty! Beides from always changing her diapers, I have a 1 year old I have to change diapers on too, and they are getting expensive. Plus, my oldest is a "chunky" kid and when she was weighed last was 37 1/2 ponds and is in the biggest kid size diaper they make....a size 6. Any sugesstions please? she isnt scared of the potty, she just never tells me and has no clues as to when she is doing pee or poop that I can take to.

  • my daughter's eating habits?

My daughter is overweight. she is 2 years 8 1/2 months. I cant remember her exact height but I do know its is average for her age. the last she was weighed she was 37 1/2 pounds. She likes to snack all day, but its not usually junk. she'll eat yogurt, cheese, pickles, pineapple, fruit cocktails in their own juices, goldfish crackers made with whole grain, Ritz crackers made with whole grain, banana's, tomatoes, once in a blue moon she will have a COUPLE tostitos with her dad. She has mostly healthy meals, nutri grain bars, poptarts, cheerios, rice crispies, etc. for breakfast. You get the idea. She drinks milk and water, once in a while at her grandma's house she will have a little kool aid. What can I do??

  • I keep feeling depressed

I have been dealing with depression since the age of 8. I am now 24. I have been doing pretty good on Prozac, but in the last 2 weeks or so, I have been unusually depressed and very sore...muscle ache. I started smoking cigarettes again, and am trying to not smoke any because my husband dosent like me to smoke, and I have been drinking...not much, 2, 3 maybe 4 beers in the course of a day. I have had to take my husbands muscle relaxers the last couple nights in order to fall asleep at night or I will just lie awake, sore and unable to get comfy. I also need to smoke marijuana in order to get sleepy enough. Any suggestions on how to get out of my rutt?

  • what can I do about my in-laws?

My mil always treats me like second class. For example, my sister-inlaw and brother-in law just had a baby yesterday. Well, no one called us to let us know when she was born. When I called my MIL this morning, she told me she thought we were in bed so no one called. The baby was born at 803 pm. I guess my SIL invited a ton of friends and family to be there while she was in labor and for the birth....even my FIL's girlfriend, who everyone HATES was there for a while. but I wasn't invited. And I know my MIL is talking smack behind my back because I didn't let any family besides my husband while I was in labor with either of my kids. But she is just telling me how they were having so much fun in there, playing games and watching movies. It was all told to me with a tone of "haha you wernt there...and we had all this fun with out you...look at what you missed out on by not having us with you when you had your girls" she has always treated me like crap...totally 2 faced...nice with a hit of snotty-ness to my face and obviously talking smack behind my back..I know she does I see her do the same thing to other people...she will be telling me things about someing, total ***** fest about someone to me, then when she sees them she is so very nice to their face. What can I do? My FIL's girlfried (my INLAWS are divorced) is a huge ****, had started screaming at my 2 year old for playing with snap-pop fireworks with my BrotherInLaw. My FIL does nothing about her and gets mad because we wont come to his house when he is full capable of coming over to our house too. I dont know how to handle these crazy people anymore!

  • my husband and our girls?

I have a wonderful husband and 2 wonderful daughters. Isabella is our oldest at age 2 1/2 years. Athena is our youngest at 9 1/2 months. My problem is my husband...he can get very obsessed when he starts "projects". My husband and I are avid Off-Roaders. Recently, he took the few useful parts off of his big mud truck and sent it to the junk yard so he could start up a SUV mud truck so he could take our daughters out with us when they are old enough. Latley he has become very involved with doing his "research" on how he is going to properly build this truck so it is tough enough. He works full time, I am a stay at home mom.he comes home from work and sits on the computer until we eat, then he showers and back on the computer till bed time. He barley talks or plays with the girls. Excuses include that he worked all day, tired, sore (he has fibromyalgia, a joint and muscle disorder). I tell him I dont mind him playing on the computer but he needs to spent time with the kids.

  • My 2 1/2 year old with behavior problems?

My 2 1/2 year old daughter seems to have serious behavior problems. Both me and my husband have a fair share of "mental problems." I have severe anxiety, depression and been diagnosed with mild ADHD. my problems are medicated and under control as best as can. My husband has been diagnosed at a young age with pretty bad ADHD, in school he was in classes for being ADHD and Classified "E.D." My daughter is showing all the classic symptoms that he also shows for ADHD, and some days I cant handle it. I dont know what to do with her, I also have a 9 month old I take care of. I told my husband I was considering going to see if she had ADHD, and possible medication. he flat out refuses to get her medicated. He was medicated with ritilan as a kid, and it made him into a zombie, he drooled on himself and got lots of bloody noses. He dosent want her to go onto Adderal because its "as addictive as crystal meth" and he dosent want to put her on it. I dont know what to do.

  • my 2 year olds weight?

My 2 1/2 year old weighs 37 1/2 pounds. At her 2 year check up she weighed 34 pounds I belive and her doctor was a little concerned. He had me bring her along to her sisters 6 month check up to get weighed again. She had only gained a pound in 3 1/2 months and then he didnt seem so concerned anymore. But my mom is going crazy, she looked up how much I weight at her age, and I was only 25 pounds....she says I was 40 pounds when I was 4. She getting pretty obsessed about it and it worrys me. When I was a teenager and preteen, she gave me a lot of greif about my weight. When I was 16 I was 5'4" and 130 pounds. She told me I was fat and needed to quit eating and a bunch of hurtful stuff.....and I have major depression. All that badgering made me feel bad about myself (I have since eaten myself "fat"....am age 24 now, still at 5'4" and n ow weighing a bit more at 245 pounds) Now I never hear how I am fat. I just dont want her comments to make my daughter become as self concious as I am.

  • how can I break my 2 1/2 year old of her paci?

She is very addicted to it, she has no other "security" items (no blankie or stuffy) although i tried t oget her into a blankie since she was a infant. If she is playing, she will run to me going "paci! paci!" and point to her mouth. She is a very stubborn girl, and will throw fits at the drop of a hat. I dont know how I am going to end this addiction. She fights tooth and nail for everything....we started to put her to bed to let her "cry it out" when she was just before a year. It took until about a month ago before she stopped crying when we put her to bed. she spent almost a year and a half fighting it. So I dont know what to do with the paci. She has gotten to the point where she has chewed holes in them. I know I sound bad when I am scared of my 2 1/2 year old. Please give me any tips. Anything would help.....please no critisizm, I already am unhappy about the situation.

  • how long after birth?

My daughter was born on September 20, 2007. she is about 8 1/2 months old now. I breastfeed her, have since the day she was born. She has never had formula, only baby food in the last few months. My issue is I still havent had my period. My mom said she had hers by the time me and my bro were 6 months old and she breastfed us too. I know I am not pregnant, my husband had a vasectomy 3 months after our baby was born and has been declared sterile, also I took a pregnancy test not too long ago, just to rule that out. Is it normal to go this long and not have a period?

I have an 8 month old who still wont sleep through the night, She will get up every 6 hours at most, usually around 4 to 4 1/2 hours at a time. She is breastfed. Nursing mid-morning(not EVERYday) then 1 jar of veggis and one of fruit for lunch. sometimes she has a couple ritz crackers with lunch. Maybe a nursing in the afternoon, and a jar of veggis and a jar of fruit again for supper, possbily with crackers again. After supper she usually will nurse for a bit. Then is nursed before bed. She usually falls asleep around 830pm, will be back up around 1230-130pm, for about an hour, then back up around 5-6. I am just tired of constantly getting up. All she wants to do is nurse when she gets up. How can I break her of this constant getting up????

  • how do i deal with the death?

Three years ago I had gotten this 2 year old cat from a friend. He was a very friendly cat, and he liked to get too comfy in the bassinet with their baby. I took him home, we were the best of friends. I had brought him home in Febuary. April I got pregnant. In August, we had a tragic accident. I was having a horrible pregnancy, and came home from work quite often from throwing up. One day, I came home around 10 am. We had a storm door and a big regular door. He always liked to look out the storm door when he could. This particular day I hadnt noticed he went to look out the storm door and shut him inbetween the doors. I went and layed down. When i woke up from a nap a little after noon. I heard a noise at the door, and thinking the storm door wasnt latched, I went to shut it only to find my cat stuck there....he was panting harder than I have ever seen an animal pant. His back legs didnt work. Took him to the vet, where he ended up dying a couple hour later.
