I'm in Michigan and had a little dispute between my mother, her boyfriend and I. No one was arrested. They just basically told me to calm down and there was nothing I could do.

Now, does this go down on my record, as in if someone wants to do a background check on me for a job or housing or anything, will it come up that the police were called to my house one evening for a domestic dispute?

I know the police will have our information down just in case something else happens but just need to know if anyone does a background check on me, if this is on my record.

I just started on the pill (can't remember which brand right now, don't have it with me) and this is my off week from it where it starts a period. I have all of my regular symptoms, mood swings, pms, upset stomach and it "feels" like it has started but all I can tell is that there is very little blood, if any at all. Not even worth to put a full tampon or pad on, just a liner. Is that normal for even the first month of being on it? Not that I don't mind it being light lol just have to get used to it I guess. Thanks!

Can anyone interpret this and tell me if there's anything abnormal? I'm having some issues with my internet.

I have Charter cable internet and a Netgear wireless thing as well.

The normal lights that need to be solid are solid (expect for the one that is connected the the main computer upstairs, having some issues with it and it's at the shop)....but my connection only lasts about 20 minutes. I turn off my laptop and wait about 10-15 minutes and I have the internet again. During the time, the modem lights are not solid, but blinking.

I've tried just about everything that I can think of (unplugging, restarting, etc etc)....I'm about to call Charter and give them a piece of my mind.

Any suggestions?

Sorry, I had to type this up fast. If you need more details I'll provide them later. I just didn't want it to go out on me while writing this.

I can still watch live tv, but when I pause, and push play or the live button, it just goes to a black screen. Also, when I play my recordings, it's a black screen and then I have to turn off the box and it comes back to a live picture.

It's a Mortorola dvr box. I believe my bill is paid up to date.

Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure that I will be majoring in Political Science when I start college this fall, but I'm not sure as to what I want to minor in, or even possibly have double major in.

I am not sure as to what I want to do with the political science degree, I still have a long time to figure that out :)

But I have a few minors in mind. I was thinking from "obvious" choices like Public Administration and Economics. To Journalism, Psychology, Sociology or even Spanish.

I know having a variety makes the college education even better.

If there any Political Science majors out there, what did you minor in?

We have two boxers (6 and 8 years old) and almost 2 weeks ago they were put up in the kennel because we went on vacation. Now they both have a cough. It sounds like they're trying to hack up something but nothing is coming up. I guess during the day today, my grandma said that they were fine and once I got home from school, and they did their boxer excited wiggle, it started back up again. So it goes away and then comes back every couple of hours.

I heard kennel cough will run it's course and that it's just like a human cold but you need to keep an eye on it.

Do you think it's Kennel Cough? If it doesn't get better by tomorrow night, I'm taking them to the vet on Friday.

And yes, they have all of their shots and what not.

I just moved and now of course all of my cables are messed up (wasn't supposed to end up that way!) And now I can't get it back to where it was before.

I have Charter Digital Cable and my box is a Motorola DCT6416 III.

My vcr/dvd combo is an Emerson. My tv has the standard 3 plug (red, yellow, white) and cable outlet in the back.

Before I had the tv connected with the vcr via the red,yellow and white cord....and also one of those black cords connecting the cable outlet in the back of the tv to one of the two outlets in the back of the vcr.

Should that go into the in or out?

Then, the dvr came with this big mess of cables....there is 5 or 6 on each end....2 reds, 2 whites and a blue and green.

Where should those go? My vcr has outlets for blue, green, ect ect.

I'm sorry if it sounds confusing, because I'm very confused. I just want my tv back.

The ultimate goal is to have it so I can record tv onto video tape so it doesn't take up all of my dvr space.

I'm currently stuck on 2 essay topics for my college writing placement exam. One question is about campus life and what it is about and the other one is about this quote by George Patton

I'm just a little stuck on what I should write about for the quote because I think I'll write a better essay with this question instead of the campus life one.

You have to discuss what you think he means by it, and support it with sufficient evidence from your own experiences.

I would appreciate it if you would like to share what you think it means and hopefully it will get my creative juices flowing.

On my way to a concert last night, a car almost hit me on my right side, so I had to make a hard left, then almost a minute later, there was this loud spinning, whipping noise. It's hard to explain. It was so loud that I could hardly have a conversation with my friend who was right next to me.

We got to the concert, parked in the parking garage, which I was scared to do because of what just happened and after the concert, the car started right up and the noise was still there. At speeds between 25-45 the noise is horrible, but going 55, it wasn't as loud and I could actually hear what was going on.

My dad is going to come and look at it after he gets out of work today, but does anyone have an idea of what it could be?

Maybe something rubbing against something, or my brakes? I was thinking, great my belt is going to break but I made it home just fine.

I just filled for my FAFSA and got a quick response back. They say my EFC is 0...is that a good thing?

My mom makes just a little more in a year than what the cost of my college will cost for a year. So I'm assuming the EFC = 0 is a good thing?

I have an HP DV6000 laptop with Windows Vista....I say about 3 out of 10 times, it doesn't shut down properly. Usually when I shut it down, the side bar goes away, then it continues to shut down. But when it doesn't shut down properly, the side bar will go away but that's it. Like today before I left, I shut it down and when I came back home after 4 hours it still hadn't shut down.

Is there something wrong with it, or a way of shutting it down properly while it's like this so I don't have to end up pulling the battery out like usual.

I have a 99 cutlass and just like my 88 Beretta that I had, after school today I went outside and my front windshield was frosted from the inside so I had to take my ice scraper and start chipping away at it.

What could be causing this? I obliviously didn't leave my door or a window down. And I went to go check on it a few minutes ago and now both the front and back windows are freezing from the inside.

It's pretty darn annoying. Any suggestions?

We finally got my National Honors Society Varsity Letter (after 6 months of complaining to our adviser) and I am not sure in what to do with it. I'll also have my band letter and note when I ask for it. But I'm not sure if I want to get a jacket or not. I feel it's kind of late, since I'm a senior and by the time I get it it will probably be in February. Now if I would have gotten the stupid letter back in April when we were supposed to, I wouldn't be having to ask this because I would have gotten it.

But anyways, I think 10 years from now I would regret not getting one. I think it's a big deal personally, but I also think it's a little too late.

Any ideas? And if not, what is something I can do with my letters so I don't loose them?

I have charter digital cable (and please, no get satellite tv, we can't...sorry) and I'm the only one in the house who has the dvr box (motorola) and the picture has been freezing off and on for the past few days but right now it's totally frozen on all channels. The other cable box upstairs is fine.

I tried unplugging the box, disconcerting the cable from it and it's still frozen in the same spot.

What else can I do?

on April 5th, my school's NHS will be on our yearly trip, and this year we're going to Boston. On the 5th...we will be going on a 3 hour whale watching trip.

What is the probability of us actually seeing a whale or two? Has anyone been whale watching in the Boston Harbor?

My ex,who I haven't talked to in over 2 years, has a very sick grandmother (and I think she may have passed but I'm not sure) and I just want to write him a quick email saying that I'm sorry and I hope that his family are doing well.

Should I? I'm very nervous about it. I don't want him to think anything of it other than me being sympathetic. He just broke up with his girlfriend and I don't want him to think I'm trying to get with him, because that's the last thing I want.

What would you do? If you would do it, how would you word the email?

I have a dv2000 hp pavillion laptop that's running Windows Vista. I have updates that I need to download.

Some of them require that I download it through internet explorer. Well every time it goes through IE, it ends up not responding and shutting down, leaving me updateless.

Then when I try to download it through the HP Total Care Advisor or another program of Vista's...The download fails.

Has anyone else gotten these problems? I've had them before with my old laptop that was running vista as well but after a retry it would work.

everytime i use like yahoo messenger, it uses internet explorer. and i have a few updates that hp has given me but they come through internet explorer and i try to download the update but every time IE closes down because of an error.

how i can i get it so firefox opens and not ie. should i just delete ie?

have packages like "Itunes to go" like Napster has "Napster to go"

My Zen Micro died on me. I've been using Napster to go for almost 2 years now. And I'm thinking about getting an Ipod tomorrow. I know it won't work with my Napster.

Does Itunes have a payment plan like that or will I be spending 99cents a song?
