I am a 26 year old Idaho country boy. I recently quit my job as a helpdesk team supervisor for T-Mobile Consumer Direct and Business Direct sales channels so that I could pursue a career in something that involves the outdoors. I am not perfect by any short measure and the most important thing to me is learning and becoming more experienced....so if that means someone emailing me to discuss inaccurate info I post then I am all for it! Well, as long as it is constructive! I am here to help people so if you are curious about something you feel I can help you with PLEASE email me and I will be more than happy to reply to your question with the best of my abilities. I have a lot of fun on this site learning and passing my time while I am seeking out another job to make into my career and I have met some really good people. The only way to get on my bad side is to critisize me without warrant or if someone is being overly judgemental to ordinary people.
I am helping my girlfriend with her math and a question is "simplify by removing the factors of one:"?
The Problem is---- 45s^8/54s^9
So 45s to the power of 8 over 54s to the power of 9
Can someone help me figure this out for her?
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoMini-ATV carb problem(s)?
My girlfriends son has one of those cheapy 50cc Jackal ATV's. It started running terrible so I pulled the carb and it was pretty gunked up. I cleaned it thoroughly and it still is running extremely rich and the idle screw doesn't have any effect. So what I am thinking is that the idle circuit air supply passage is still clogged. However, when I pulled it off and cleaned it out, the engine is still running very rich. Anyone know how I can clean the passage better or have any other ideas about what is wrong? Oh, I adjusted the floats about every way possible to no avail...
1 AnswerMotorcycles1 decade agoBrothers in Mini-14 vs. Mini-30 battle of which is better!?
I have a mini-30....my bro has a mini-14....we are in constant battle on which is better. Opinions from my fellow hunters/shooters!?
We use them when scouting....shooting yotels (coyotes) when they appear....we live in wolf (shooting wolves when they appear only not admitting to it hahaha) and bear country as well. We certainly plink with them quite a bit as well.
We both are educated regarding firearms and are experienced hunters and trained marksmen. I just want opinions to keep the ongoing war fresh as I will email the answers to him.
10 AnswersHunting1 decade agoI don't get it. If someone steals my Visa Card.....?
and orders a something online, can't the cops just go to the address they sent it too?I don't understand why it would be so hard to track someone down with my identity?
Or do they have tricks up their sleaves?
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoMini-30 or Mini-14: If you had a choice which would you choose.?
My brother and I are in a friendly argument about whether the Mini-14 or the Mini-30 would be a better "scout" rifle. We are not new comers to firearms and understand the ballistics of both weapons.
In the Inland Pacific Northwest (North Idaho) it would mainly be using it as a scouting rifle and for the occasional coyote or short range ground squirrel hunt. *whispers* and of course maybe putting a wolf a few feet underground when we get the chance ha ha)
I am just wondering what all your personal opinions may be.
A SCOUT RIFLE TO US IS: A rifle that we would carry on our should for survival or protection from small animals while we were out stomping the brush looking for prime hunting spots or just stomping the brush looking for sheds.

9 AnswersHunting1 decade agoHow much would you pay to have someone pick up your dog's waste once a week or bi-weekly?
I understand this is not a service everyone needs, but if it was offered how valuable would that service be?
$20 a week? $10 a week? $50 a month?
14 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhy are there so many insurance sales jobs?
I was a sales manager for 5 years and am currently trying to find new opportunities but everything seems to be a freakin' insurances sales person??? Why are there so many of them....and the recruiters for the sales people are like hungry dogs! It's unreal!
5 AnswersMarketing & Sales1 decade agoWhat do you think about this article from the NEW YORK TIMES!?
I like how he pointed out his ignorance regarding wolves when he mentioned how great it is to see them run across the fields of Yellowstone. This solidifies what folks living in wolf country already know: They are ignorant to every truth as long as it fits what they claim their ideals are. So this guy wants to go to Yellowstone and see a wolf on a family vacation one time in his life while leaving wolf country inhabitants here to clean up the mess the rest of the time.
Being a very active North Idahoan I can tell you right now that his information regarding why we are thinning the animals is NOT just to save animals for hunters....it is literally to actually SAVE the herds from over predation! It's not like we said, remove the wolves so people can hunt...we have had to say remove both hunters AND wolves so the elk herds in certain ranges can regroup and become stable again. Three packs in Lolo decimated one of the greatest herds in the country in a mere 5 years. Your thoughts?
7 AnswersHunting1 decade agoWolves strike again in Northern Idaho!?
http://www.kxly.com/Global/story.asp?S=8327150
This is not an article about a hunter in the woods; it is at his house! This man cannot feel his CHILDREN and his pets are safe because of the reintroduction.
The wolves are closer than ever to the some of the most urban but rural populations in the state. Out of the largest cities in Idaho and the largest in the panhandle it only takes 5 minutes to cross into the CDA national forest. Do you feel this is going to get even worse? What do you think about Barry's mentioning of his new opinion of wolves? These animals are not killing only for food like pro wolve advocates try to sell to people that are not around to see the carnage they bring on families and herd. They are killing because the pack decided it was their land. Between territorial and reflex killings the animals wolves kill are far greater than. How many pets, livestock and eventually children(possibly adults too) have to die or mauled before we fix this?
10 AnswersHunting1 decade agoTrain operator/engineer career.?
Like many young boys growing up I was always fascinated with trains. I have dreamt of being an engineer, scaling the United States in areas where there are no roads while learning an art that most will never be a part of.
What is the track to becoming an engineer? Where can I start and what is the best way to climb that ladder and make trains a career for me? I am 26 and am sick of working in an Office.
I have no doubt I am capable of physical labor and have been around heavy machinery my whole life, up until I was 20 that is. Please answer this question without judgment and imagine you were talking to the most capable person in the world. Not saying I am, but answer the question like I was so that I don't feel like you are assuming I am worthy or not worthy of your expertise.
7 AnswersRail1 decade agoWhen removing the head of an animal after caping it....what is the best vertebrae to go through?
Where do you remove the head at to not lose any meat while at the same time making it easy for the taxidermist???
Do you personally use a saw to cut its head off or a knife slice through its neck vertebrae to remove its head?
I am experienced but would like imput from other hunters to hear their tactics and methods.

8 AnswersLaw & Legal1 decade agoDo you think this helps show why pro-gun advocates rely on firearms to protect their families?
Go to www.familywatchdog.us and put in your zip code or city or state or address and look at how many registered sex offenders are in your area.
Even in the rural part of the country I am in I have 23 of them within a 3 mile radius!!!
Granted that all of their crimes vary in degree and nature, but nonetheless having two convicted rapist and a man that has three counts of forced sodomy on a child under the age of 16 living within 3 miles of my home really gets me apprehensive!
I live in a good, quite and rural area too!
I actually use the Idaho State Patrol's sex offender map because it is more user friendly and really pinpoints thing accurately, but the familywatchdog.us is a generic, easily found site. I would recommend trying to find your own states site to see what they have too.
My point is that I really hope that this may illustrate the importance of having something in your home that is able to stop a full grown and very aggressive man.
10 AnswersHunting1 decade agoWhy do seemingly normal people not use spell checker or take the 30 seconds to reread their question?
I am not perfect and do NOT expect a person to have a perfect piece of writing! All I am asking is why does a person NOT take the time to make sure he or she does not seem 12 years old, like he or she is from another country or simply make an effort not to look like an idiot!?
In my opinion even grammatical errors are okay and acceptable by most; it is spelling that gets to people! You can have perfection everywhere in your writing but if you misspell even a couple of words it can turn someone’s opinion completely on you and judgments are made.
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy can anti-hunters stand behind his or her convictions? Anti-hunters please come in and answer!!!?
I really do understand why the bunny huggers come into the hunting category and take quick shots at the hunters. However, what is most bothering to me is that they do not have the nerve to defend their statements, keep their email open or not block people immediately after posting their thoughts.
I have tried on several occasions to very diplomatically have an email conversation with folks regarding what makes them so anti-hunting or to get a grasp on their understanding of the sport and 9.5 out of 10 times their email is blocked....and the ones that don't have their emails blocked immediately ignore you or email you some antagonistic and harsh remark then block you! No matter how diplomatic, understanding and nice you are to them they are afraid to stand up and have a mature conversation with you!?
15 AnswersHunting1 decade agoNoah's Ark???
So how could a man build a boat large enough for all the animals on the earth....two of all the animals at earth to boot. Then how did he get all the millions of species on Earth (missing the unicorn in some peoples belief!), feed them, prevent them from eating each other and fighting while he prevented disease on a crammed up boat for 40 days and nights?
THEN we see in science that genetics are a real thing. So how did he manage to get genetic diversity AFTER the animals left the boat. Why didn't we end up with a bunch of retarded and genetically inferior animals?
Things are not adding up for me.....can someone give me an answer besides: believe in god and don't believe everything in the bible.
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can they tell how old things are in the Universe?
Not only that, but since the faster things go, the slower time goes wouldn't that make certain speedy things much older/younger than what our concept of them would be?
3 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoWith every bit of harsh honest, what do you feel is the best defense against gangs on the street?
Imagine you were given 50 highly trained and level headed agents to clean the most violent and gang prevalent portion of Los Angeles'. You are given a large budget and told that you have to clean up that portion of the city in a year by ANY means necessary and any of your methods or ideas will be accepted.
How do you feel this should be done?
I admit that I am a bit of a country boy and do not understand the culture or the problem except by the ignorance that is spewed into my brain by the news and documentary type TV shows. However, it seems to me that there has to be more that we can do to prevent these violent, unethical and morally unstable portions of our society.
12 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoIf following the bible gets you to heaven, did all of the people before the bible go to hell?
Why would god allow the millions if not a total of billions of people before the creation of the bible to die and go to hell? If god wishes all of the souls an opportunity to earn a spot in heaven why would he make it take so long for the creation of the bible and pass his message to the lands....which he did relatively slowly as well?
I am not questioning god....as most of you will only come up with that for an answer. I am just curious if anyone has that answer for me so that I can understand if the romans and greeks and chinese and japanese souls reached a better place after death.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy hasn't there been a documented wolf attack in the United States?
The reason I feel is this:
Those requirements for documentation negate all historical records!
As with rabid wolves, the biologist can say, "There are no `documented' cases of wild healthy wolves attacking humans." In order to be "documented" these unreasonable criteria must be met:
1. The wolf has to be killed, examined and found to be healthy.
2. It must be proven that the wolf was never kept in captivity in its entire life.
3. There must be eyewitnesses to the attack.
4. The person must die from their wounds (bites are generally not considered attacks according to the biologists).
That is a "documented" attack.
Wolves have one of the most demanding criteria in order to have a documented attack....and there is a reason. The governments of Canada and the U.S. wanted to change the perception of the wolf in the American people to gain funding for the conservation of the animals. Attacks on man does not help propaganda.
Do you feel this is fair criteria to be met?
