So, dog owners in Seattle... I have a question!?
In Seattle, they might ban all the plastic bags from the grocery stores. Or they might make you pay 20 cents for a bag. Yet, they say that the plastic bags are the best to pick up after your dog. What would you do if they ban or you must pay for the plastic bags? I sure hope that the dog owners won't stop picking up after their dogs. What are you going to do?

1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoYellow flag Irises. Do you trim leaves like other bearded Irises? ?
Right now, they are still green, but look a bit messy. I trimmed the flower head a long ago, so there are only leaves and brown stems left. Do you trim leaves also? Or you just leave them?
2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoSometimes I find a hole in my cotton T-shirt and underwear...?
I thought that no bugs eat cotton stuff, but wool items. Is this a bug? Or it is from laundries? If a bug ate it, the cedar ball thing works for this, too?
3 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoI want your opinion as a non-Japanese!?
I am thinking of a trip to Japan, well, we do this every other year to take a short domestic travel within Japan. I want to hear where you, as a foreigner, liked the best besides Kyoto, Nara, Nikko and Hakone. I am trying to decide which place my American husband might enjoy. We saw enough of temples and shrines already... I am thinking about somewhere with nice scenery. We'll be staying at Yokohama area, and the trip shouldn't be too expensive. Thanks!
7 AnswersJapan1 decade agoKitchen remodeling... Upper cabinets are in good shape.?
I am thinking of saving the upper cabinets by painting & cleaning it, and I might replace/resurface the doors, but I want to get the new base cabinets, sink, counter tops and the floor. Is it a good idea? The upper cabinets and base cabinets will look different.

1 AnswerJapan1 decade agoHow often do you visit your ancestors grave site?
I live in U.S. I am curious because none of people around me do, but the country I came from has 3 times in a year(at least) to visit your ancesters grave to clean, pray and pay respect. Do you have a special day to visit? Or you don't ever? I know that you do on Veterans day...
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoThis is still a mystey to us...?
Have you tried "Hoppy"? A kind of drink, which is a mixture of beer and Japanese shochu, we saw on TV. We couldn't find it any stores we went to. If you've tried it before, how was it? Good? Which store did you find it?

4 AnswersJapan1 decade agoIs it fine to connect Bose speakers & Bass system to LCD TV with an adaptable cord? Without a proper receiver?
It is Bose Companion 3 series II. I heard that it might be heating up the TV and it will shorten the life of it. Is it true??
2 AnswersHome Theater1 decade agoPanasonic DMC-LS75 This is a question about battery life?
I got this one as my first digital camera. It only uses 2 AA batteries. A pair of Panasonic Oxyride batteries(longer life than regular Alkaline battery)came with it and it said that it should take about 250 pics. Well, I went through 2 pairs of those and 1 pair of Alkaline batteries to take 122 pics. Is something wrong with my camera? Or batteries? There were no leaks from batteries. It wasn't that cold outside. I turned off the camera as many times as I could, just like Panasonic recommended to save the power. I even took the batteries out from the camera each night. What did I wrong?
1 AnswerCameras1 decade agoWhy is it when I go into the store, like clothing shop, the clerks ignore me?
Most of the places, they won't greet me by saying "Hello" or "Hi" or whatever, like they do to the other 'clearly western looking' people. I just went to Japan and 100% of the people at the store greeted me with a big smile. Why is this? What's wrong with this picture? By the way, they show the smile and greet when I am with my mom-in-laws. So...am I nothing to them?
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoSomeone bumped into my husband's car and left a good size scuff mark...?
He took it to Toyota dealership(It's RAV 4.) to get a estimate on fixing it, but now this person's insurance Co.(Geico) wants him to take the car to one particular car maintenance place. Is this normal? Does he have to? Can the insurance co. refuse to pay him, if my husband doesn't want to drive all the way up to this maintenance place?
4 AnswersInsurance & Registration1 decade agoTour in England...Buckingham Palace, Que Garden & Lake District?
I love to visit England and tour Buckingham Palace, Que(Sorry...I forgot how to spell it.) Garden and hike around the Lake District in April in near future. I know that Lake District is in different place, but is it possible to make them all in one trip? Or is it too much?
3 AnswersOther - United Kingdom1 decade agoWhat do you think of the dog owners who don't clean up after their dogs?
Our city has "Scoop Law", and dog owners must clean after their dogs. I am tired of looking down on the sidewalk when I go for a walk, because I don't want to step on it!
21 AnswersDogs1 decade agoPlease tell me why plastic grocery bags are bad?
They are recyclable and I do recycle, and I do believe that people should do too. If people do recycle them, why plastic bags are worse than paper bags? In order to make paper bags, you cut trees. My city is trying to eliminate plastic grocery bags from the stores, but what about paper bags?
