  • Looking for a New Watch?

I am looking for a new watch and am not the most up on watches. I know I want a Sapphire crystal. I like chrono watches. 40-43mm face. Steel band. I like Automatic but I am not crazy about the accuracy of them. I can deal with Quartz if its Swiss Quartz. At least 100 meters water depth. I don't want an ugly watch, I would like something stylish. $ range < $350 if possible. Is that asking for too much from a watch??

  • Building out an exterioe wall.?

I am building a staircase and the cut-out through the floor will not allow me to drywall on the exterior wall studs. I need to frame a second wall against the existing exterior wall. Should I line up the studs and end up with a 7" wall? For fire blocking, Should I leave the existing drywall on the exterior wall and stud the new wall against that???

  • Stair Tread Thickness?

I'm building stairs for the interior of my house. 7 5/8 Rise - 10 Run. The stairs will be carpeted. Before I calculate the stringers, I need to know the tread thickness. Can 3/4" plywood be used? Or 1x12 (3/4" thick). Or does it need to be thicker?

    Thanks in advanced.

  • 2004 Silverado 2WD 4.8L Universal Joints.?

I blew a center universal joint on my truck. It's up on jack stands and i'm looking at the center joint. It doesn't look familiar. There is no snap ring on the bearing collar to hold the u-Joint in place. There are some weird fiberglass-like pins in the collars. Does anybody know how this goes together/comes apart?

  • DSLR Reference?

Ok I finally got a DSLR. Canon Rebel XT. Clearance prices helped. I don't have a schedule that would allow me to take classes but I am interested in learning about the settings and how to utilize them. Can anyone recommend a book/Website where I can teach myself the basics and learn some tricks? My goal is to have clear good quality pics for any of my life events. Whether it be a school play in a dark auditorium or a picnic on a bright sunny day.

  • Lawnmower wont start, help?

Craftsman 6.5 hp w/ Briggs/Stratton motor 4 cycle. Push (not self propelled)

I prime the ball, pull the cord and nothing. Every few tries it will backfire on me. A couple of times when I pulled the cord it yanked back on me. I let it sit for an hour thinking I flooded it and still nothing. I pulled the plug and cleaned it. I took the air filter and muffler off. I pulled off the head and checked the head gasket. (It was intact). It's about a year and a half old with no warranty left. Any thoughts?

  • Canon Rebel XT with 18-55mm Lens?

I have an option to purchase a Rebel XT with the 18-55mm Lens for $369 (US). The kit is missing the software, instruction manuals and dust caps. I was told that Canon's website has themanuals and software for download, but I can only find the software updates. Any suggestions on the price or where to get the software? Also how available are the dust caps, both body and lens?

  • Info on Plaza de las Delicias in Ponce, Puerto Rico?

I was in Ponce at the Plaza de las Delicias. I went to a souvenir shop across from the plaza on a corner street. There was a second souvenir shop right across the street from the one I went to. There was an art gallery in the upstairs of the souvenir shop. I am looking for the name of the souvenir shop or a way to find info on the artwork that they had. The owner had told me that he had a lot of local artist pieces. I saw some beautiful artwork there and I am now interested in acquiring some. Any info would be helpful.
