In old movies, boys give girls their class rings once they re going steady . But didn t girls get given class rings by the school too?
So what would be the point of getting a second one from the boy they were dating, unless they all went around wearing both?
Singles & Dating5 years agoDo undertakers sanitise jewellery before returning it to the family?
I got my mother's wedding ring back from the funeral home after she died in hospital. I'm a bit freaked for obvious reasons. For my peace of mind I'd like to know if the ring was likely sanitised before being returned to us? Thanks.
1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance5 years agoUK NHS question: access to medical records of deceased relative?
My mother died in 2003 when I was 17. Now as a 28-year-old I suspect I have endometriosis and I want to find out if my mum had it during her lifetime. This is to establish if there is a family history of it. I have no other relatives who know the answer. Can I or a GP access my mum's medical records, or are they sealed/destroyed after a patient is deceased?

10 AnswersHistory7 years agoPlease translate this English phrase to Latin?
'Only death can conquer me.'
Also:
'None shall ever conquer my spirit.'
'None' in the sense of 'nobody/no one'. 'Spirit' in the context of my resilience, my will, my determination, my vitality etc., not my soul.
1 AnswerLanguages7 years agoIs this Latin grammatically correct?
Libertas de Dominatus
It is supposed to mean 'freedom from tyranny'. Is 'de' the correct word to use between the two, and is the phrase correctly capitalised? Thanks.
1 AnswerLanguages7 years agoWhat is this album cover (90's britpop)?
Black and white picture of a man and a woman lying side-by-side in bed. I think they're smoking. I thought it was a Pulp or Blur album/single but I can't find it.
1 AnswerRock and Pop7 years agoWhat is wrong with my cornea?
One of my eyes is larger than the other, and the cornea on the bigger eye has a visible bulge at the front, right over the iris and pupil. It's not a smooth curve, it looks like a sunny side up egg. There is no discolouration and my vision is not affected. My eyes have always looked that way and my father has the same thing, so I believe it is genetic and not a disease.

2 AnswersBotany8 years agoHow long after death are human eggs viable?
There is a wiki page about posthumous sperm extraction, but I can't find any info about female gametes (eggs). Are they rendered inviable as soon as the women dies, or could they feasibly be extracted, inseminated via IVF and implanted into a surrogate to eventually produce a live birth? If so, what is the time frame for doing so? Only knowledgeable scientific answers please.
3 AnswersBiology8 years agoHow to make a miniature campfire in a tin can?
I want to roast marshmallows by hand over a very small fire using a tin can (soup size). What should I use for kindling/fuel and how can I make it safety conscious? It will be placed outside on a concrete floor with a bucket of water next to it just in case. Will newspaper do as fuel? It will only be lit for about 5/10 minutes.
4 AnswersOther - Outdoor Recreation8 years agoA question for Muslims?
Do you find it offensive if a non-Muslim person says things like inshallah, mashallah, or 'peace be upon him' to you during polite conversation? I encounter a lot of Muslims in my daily life (people I don't know personally) and I like to use a bit of their phrases sometimes as a friendly gesture. I always research the phrases first, and I only use them with sincerity and in the right context, but I'm not sure how that's viewed from Islam's perspective?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoCan I eat strawberries that have holes in them?
I bought a box of strawberries and some of them have small bore holes in them. I assume they were made by insects. Is it okay to eat the strawberries or should I throw them away? Could the insects still be inside them? I cut a couple open but couldn't see anything.

5 AnswersLanguages9 years agoWhat is this famous painting called? (stars in woman's hair)?
It's the back of a woman's head, she has dark wavy hair and there are white stars in her hair. The background is dark blue. I think the style may be Impressionist? It's a really famous painting but without the name or artist I'm having trouble finding a picture of it.
