11 AnswersOther - News & Events7 years agoDoes anyone suspect that the Affordabe Care Act site has been sabotaged?
Something is just not right about this. it’s not like the internet was invented yesterday. The US government already runs many web sites like Medicare and Medicaid but there are no “glitches” there. Very suspicious. And the states who signed up for Obama Care are not having problems, just the red states. Anybody care to hazard a guess?
19 AnswersPolitics8 years agoWhy is this section filled with 95% level 1 with minus points average of 14? Is this the ultimate troll site?
Almost everyone I check on has very few points and almost always has 14 points or more deducted, and they are almost all Level 1 folks. Is this just a few people with multiple accounts or are there really that many weirdos out there? Maybe both? Or perhaps these are in the closet individuals who are going crazy because they are afraid to be who they are because of societies opinions?
3 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender8 years agoIs it true that Romney is a person that only cares about the rich?
Martin Sheen on Romney. He played a president on The West Wing and is a high-profile Democratic supporter. But what makes his stance on the current election unusual is his very public disregard for Mitt Romney.
“He is, in essence, a very arrogant, very successful businessman [who] believes in unreined free enterprise,” Sheen told The Huffington Post. And those were some of his nicer comments. “He’s a guy that the old phrase applies to: ‘he was born on third base and thought he hit a triple,’” Sheen added.

16 AnswersElections9 years agoSo Mitt says he's not concerned about the poor...?
Romney: 'I'm not concerned about the very poor' -
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Wednesday that he's "not concerned about the very poor" because they have an "ample safety net"
What safety net is he talking about? The nets they put up in China so that Apple (Mac) workers won't commit suicide because of egregious safety and work conditions> or the 50% of Americans that are underwater on their mortgages? Or the family of 6 that can barely sustain themselves in Tennessee, and have to eat Polk salad and beans every day and travel 50 miles for medical care? Just what was he thinking? What does Mitty know about being poor?
3 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWhy does it seem there so many tragedies around Christmas time?
I'm sure you read about them. Dozens of horrible stories about women and children murdered chopped up starving, kidnapped tortured and burned alive, and that's just a partial list. Not to mention the thousands of children that die every day due to the lack of basic medical help that we take for granted in the WESTERN world. Tis the season to be depressed? It seems YAHOO News always seems to get the goriest stories first.
The best story I saw all christmas was the cute little 4 week old Polar Bear named Siku meaning "Sea Ice", which is what they need to exist is is of major concern. So cute. I saw it today LIVE on the TODAY Show.
2 AnswersChristmas9 years agoCould we just leave the American Horse alone and not slaughter them for food?
The American Horse helped build this country and we spend hundreds of millions of dollars on horse shows and racing. If a horse has to die if it's old or sick, we should just put them down humanely and respect what the horse has done for this country. If we open up Slaughter houses again as proposed the meat only goes to Japan Belgium and France. Do you really want foreigners eating our heritage? And no shipping them off to Canada like some of ya'll are now either for slaughter. Have you actually seen a slaughter house video for horses? It's disgusting.
PS I am just asking about HORSES. Please don't tell me how pigs are smarter or cows are cuter. Please stick to the one subject I have brought up.

PS
I also think everyone should go see "War Horse" when the movie comes out and then tell me that it's OK to hang them upside down and cut their throats. Horses can be brave just like humans. I have seen the preview and it looks truly awesome.
8 AnswersPolitics9 years agoIs this a warning from the grave of President Eisenhower to the Republican Tea Party?
November 8, 1954, went as follows:
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H. L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid."
