I am part of a committee hosting a very important event in August. The venue has these huge Maroon Stage Curtains - but our colour scheme is blue, silver and black.

The committee doesn't want these big maroon curtains making our decore tacky and out of place - so we figured we could create an illusion by either lighting or attaching wall of fabric in front of the curtains to "change" the colour.

So what colours would I need to put on the Curtains to change the Maroon into either a blue or black????

NOTE: The venue isn't willing to take down the maroon curtains for us to put up ones that match our colour scheme - so we have to either use fabric or lights to "change" the colour of the curtains

I'm sorry, but I think the older Taylor Swift gets - the more stupid and brat like she acts. She is supposed to "down to earth" and a good role model, and instead is heard throwing tantrums because there is no chocolate milk in her dressing room!

Top it all off, she has recently broken up with that One Direction kid because he wouldn't drop everything he was doing with his band to travel with her on tour. I already feel sorry for the song she is going to create about him not giving into her wants.

I apologise to all the fans in advance - but is it just me or is Taylor Swift actually getting dumber and more brat like the older she gets? Some of these songs she has been coming out with lately - GEEZ! I know she is an "artist" but at least have a little tact. I feel sorry for this One Direction kid she dumped recently - who knows what sort of crap of a song she will ingrain into society about him

My little sister thought she would help me out around the house and did my washing for me - while she had predominantly separated the whites from the darks, she put new pink socks into the white load and now I have streaky pink work shirts. How do I get this "run" colour out of my uniforms

I am a Bridesmaid for a wedding in 10 days (Wednesday 7th November). In addition to having to attend 2 wedding ceremonies, plus providing assistance to the Bride on both wedding days (Tues & Wed) - I have also been asked to undertake the role of MC and advise wedding guests of when photos, cake cutting, lantern release will be occuring.

Last night, the Bride asked me to also stick around the day after the wedding to run errands for her (return suits, drop off cake stands, pick up wedding decorations and clean up venue, etc) so that she can relax before she flys out on her honeymoon that day. I had made plans the next day to catch up with a friend - but she says that I am not keeping in with my duties.

Who is being unreasonable? I have been a Bridesmaid before, but have never been asked to take on dual duties and be expected to run errands for the Bride the next day. Especially when I have to travel to the city - which I am not familiar with. Am I really being a bad Bridesmaid by not running the errands, or is the Bride just expecting too much from me??

I have been single a few years now and have been on the "dating scene" now for a few months - but am finding it really difficult. I have tried the usual places such as sporting clubs, gym, recreational activities, set-ups from friends/family and even clubs - but it attracts the wrong sort of guy (they only want booty calls). I admit that after so long out of the game, I am completely clueless how to spot those "genuine" dating options.

So I've been considering going through a dating agency or online dating - but am really hesitant about it - has anyone had experience with online dating or going through a dating agency that wouldn't mind giving me some feedback on their experience. Thanks

I am hosting a Hen's next week and I am trying to keep in mind that not everyone eats meat - so was thinking of having some stuffed cherry tomatos in the vegetarian side. Does anyone have a really good flavour-some recipe. I've been googling and they all seemed just to be stuffed with cheese and I thought there would be different recipes :(

I have all the alcoholic beverages and shots organised but forgot to plan anything for those who don't drink booze. I was going to for go the basic softdrink and juice as this is a little boring (and might show that I only planned non-boozy drinks at the last minute). I was hoping someone could recommend any tried and loved non-alcoholic punches or beverages that might go down well on what is to be a very hot spring day.

And I have been planning it for 6 months only to have found out on Weekend just gone that the Bride's sister-in-law had taken half of the games and entertainment that I was going to use and incorporated into the Bridal Shower!! I can't blame her for it though as she had never asked what I was doing so we didn't even discuss what was going to overlap :( stupid I know.

My dilemma is ... because all my games were "done" and I am running out of time - what Hen's themed games could you suggest that would work well for a bunch of people that don't know each other well or at all?

As part of my new resigme to loose some weight before I go on a cruise in April, I have been eating alot of salads (usually for lunch and every second night for dinner) and I find that when I eat the salad - I am getting the worse cotton mouth that no amount of water fixes. Has anyone else had this when eating salad

Note: my salad is mostly different lettuce leaves, rocket, spinach, etc with a little carrot, red onion and my meat (chicken, ham, turkey)

My house project for the year is to do something with the large front and back yards. I was going to use pavers and some stones in the decorating but was told that this will increase the heat during spring/summer inside my home as the pavers/stones will act like ovens. Is this true??

But there is this friend that I want more than friendship with. He expressed interest a few weeks ago, but I kind of denied him because I thought he was only looking for a friend with "benefits".

Everytime I try to post a response - I keep getting the error message "Yahoo is temporarily out of order - please be patient while we try to rectify the problem" - it has been doing this for the past two days.

For all those extremely Information Technology literate people out there I would like your advice.

I bought my computer about 6 years ago for study purposes (so it has Windows XP) and have kept it in extremely high, pristine condition. I now need to use my computer to access internet and download things, but not sure which direction to go.

Do you think I can get away with doing a few upgrades (to make it faster), and get a network and graphics card or do you think that I would be better off getting a new computer?
