  • Can I eat the tomatoes from a plant that has fusarium wilt?

I have a plant that I am pretty sure has fusarium wilt but it has some green tomatoes on it. I was wondering if the tomatoes are ok to eat. I was going to pick them and get rid of the plant.

  • Does your school have a fundraising fee?

We are thinking of implementing one as an option for parents to pay that instead of participating in all of the fundraisers. I'm just not exactly sure how to figure it out. If your school has one, how much is it and how big is your school? Thanks!

  • What kind of computer should I buy? Mac or PC?

My husband and I have been saving up to buy a new computer because our current Compaq is about 9 years old and dying. We have saved up about $3,000 and will probably add another $1,000 to that when our tax refund gets here. We use the computer for emails, digital pictures, making flyers for my son's school, basic stuff like that. So what should we get or perhaps I should ask, what can we afford to get?

  • Good follow up for turning side kick during sparring?

I need a couple of good combinations that I can use with a turning side kick. I can usually hit my opponent with the turning side and push them back a little but I really need to follow up with another kick. I'm 5'2'' and I usually spar with taller people, so I need something that I can get in on them fast. Thanks!

  • How much food to order for 25 adults?

I'm having my son's birthday party this weekend and I am feeding the parents too. The place I am having the party at has sandwich and appetizer platters that feed between 6-8 people, pizzas, and a veggie tray that feeds up to 12 people. How many platters would be enough? I really don't want much food left over. Thanks!

  • Best sparring gear for your feet?

What kind of sparring shoes should I buy? I have used the foam shoes before and found those to be hard to move in without feeling like I was going to twist my ankle. What do you prefer and why?

  • Grass seed that doesn't need a lot of water? When to plant?

My main sewer line is being replaced and a large section of my front yard is going to be dug up. What type of grass seed can I put down that will grow without using a lot of water? We are in a severe drought here, so I can't water my lawn. Also, when should I plant grass seed? Right after the work is done or wait until spring? Thanks!

  • Teens and tweens, what form of discipline did your parents use with you and did it work?

There is always a lot of talk over in the Parenting and Toddler/Preschooler sections regarding the best type of discipline. A lot of parents say spanking is the way to go because "it teaches the child who is boss", "makes them respect you", or "I was spanked and I turned out ok". So, I wanted to ask a group of people who have been or still are being disciplined by spanking if indeed it does instill respect and is it effective? Your memories are a lot clearer than most parents who are trying to decide if this is the way to go. If you were not spanked, what type of discipline did your parents use and was it effective? This is a serious question, so please, only serious answers. Thanks.

  • Resizing Photo Viewer window?

I bought a digital keychain from Brookstone and loaded the Photo Viewer software no problem but when I start the software, the window is too big for my screen. I have tried changing the window size using the computer controls and the window does not allow me to re-size it by dragging the edges. How can I get this to work? Thanks!

  • Gift giving for runners?

Last year my husband started to take his running really seriously and started entering races and training really hard. He has been in a bunch of 5Ks and two half marathons and he is really enjoying himself. What would be a great gift to get him that would aid him in his training? For his birthday and Father's Day I got him a Garmin and a subscription to a running magazine. Do those "Nip-Guard" things work or do bandaids work as well? Also, what can he use for chafing? Thanks.

  • My bathroom flooded and the laminate floor smells.?

My small, half bathroom flooded last night with water from my washing machine and some sewer water. The main sewer line was plugged. We used a wet vac to get the water up very quickly and wiped down the floor with Colorox wipes. Will we need to use a dehumidifier? The plumbers came today and cleared the clog. Some duct work under the house will have to be replaced too because water got in it. Should I be concerned about mold too? Is this covered under my home owners insurance? I know, lots of questions. I've never had this happen before, so I want to make sure we are taking care of things properly.

  • Parents of teenagers, if you could travel back in time?

and meet yourself when you were 16, what parental advice would you give your 16 year old self? I would have told my 16 year old self that sex does not make you cool or sophisticated, neither do drugs, you will need Algebra, bad boys are not worth the heartache, and big hair is going to be such a fashion faux pas.
