I'm 17, living in the U.S. I am a big fan of history, and I read a lot of it. I am a "good guy" one that trys to be good to all I meet. I hope I find a good lady, but I'm not really searching. I'm more interested in my career. I like the History Channel, and GAC. I watch a lot of movies, mostly action, comedy, or inspiring stories. I have a myspace, and would be glad to have you as a friend. Search for Biff. I'm a geek and play a lot of computer/video/board games. Actually I only play one board game. D&D. Regardless, I'm a good guy, and I love discussing issues with people. Have a good day. P.S. I NEVER, NEVER Ask homework questions!!!
Does anyone have an idea or hypothesis on where the sepulchre of Ben Rabbah 3rd is?
Yes, I'm trying to find the treasures of the copper scroll. It might be a futile quest for a 17 year old, but I'm passionate about history, and I believe I have a good theory going. I've solved the first clue. The second clue "In the sepulchre of Ben Rabbah the Third: 100 ingots of gold." is my next task. I know a sepulchre is a burial building or tomb, so Who was Ben Rabbah the Third? Or is that one of many names for the man/woman? Could the letters be mixed around, jumbled? Any ideas or theories to assist with this project would be greatly appreciated. Again, I would appreciate it if you don't criticize my attempt. 1 AnswerHistory1 decade agoDo you think Aristarchus of Samos and other ancient scientists ideas contributed to more modern scientists vie
Do you think ancient scientists, mathematicians, philosophers ideas contributed to more modern scientists like Newton, Einstein, Copernicus?
For example: Aristarchus of Samos proposed the first heliocentric model of the Universe. Did Copernicus use that as part of his research? (It was also proposed by Seleucus and Vedic texts)
2 AnswersHistory1 decade agoBased on ancient sources, What is your assessment of the items in the Great Library of Alexandria?
In other words, What do you think resided in the Great Library at Alexandria (what topics, information that could solve present mysteries on ancient peoples?) and could some of it reside somewhere unknown to us?
This is not a question to promote National Treasure. But I'm curious. If it was the greatest ancient library in the world, it must of contained more information on what they thought and knew than anywhere else. Why wouldn't you make copies of that, if not to keep the knowledge alive.
5 AnswersHistory1 decade agoWhat time are we in?
A Time for Everything
1 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—
2 A time to give birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
5 A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
6 A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war and a time for peace.
Which time are we in? *I'd really appreciate an expression. Mine would have to a time to love and a time to hate, simply because we have come to love our possessions and hate our neighbors.

The moon slowly rose above the horizon, revealing a dark shape slinking through the trees toward the dreaming village. Crickets chirped, and small nocturnal animals ran the lenghth of the ground. As loud as a whisper, he crawled through the dense brush, taking care not to make any sound. Slowly, confidently, he rose to a crouch, just beyond the edge of the forest. Peering down into the village, past the veil of darkness, he saw lights brighten as the dark of night descended upon it. The people of Perun were going to sleep. He drew his trustworthy blade, crafted from the finest steel, sharp enough to split the most durable of items, waiting for the sweet ecstacy of revenge.
Years ago, his father lived in this village. He worked hard, building buildings and crafting wooden items for his pay, but was interested in things he shouldn't of been. A necromancer had came to him in his sleep, asking if he wanted to learn the art. He ablidged and became quite prevalent. But the people of
9 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoCan someone explain to me the rule for writing a spell to your spell book in D&D?
According to what I'm reading, in order to copy a spell into your spellbook, you must make a Spellcraft Check of DC 20+Spell level. I created my character from scratch, and my Spellcraft is only 7 (I applied my ranks unevenly with the most in Concentration and Spellcheck) Does it mean I have to get to 20 Spellcraft in order to copy the spell?
1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade agoFor all of those who have lost a loved one in their family or friends?
How did you get through it, or how are you getting through it. I lost my mom at 12, to a stroke, and I've "moved" on. But I say I lost a year of my life. I went into a deep depression in my life, and that took a year of living away from me. Have you lost days, months, years "off" your life to the grief? How did you handle losing someone you love? Do you still think about them every now and again? (This question is simply for curiosity. I'm not in emotional pain right now, I'm just wondering what people did that I didn't do to get through it.)

Ok, I'm having problems with the first Medieval Total War. I installed it, went to Single Player, started a new campaign, chose the Egyptians in all three time periods (this comes in later.) Every time it starts to load the game crashes and goes back to the desktop. I don't even get to the map. No error message pops up, it just crashes. I've reinstalled it twice now, and it keeps doing it. Any ideas whats causing it or how to fix it?

My dad's girlfriend find's disgust as well as intrique in it. Her and I both shared it. It will provide me with many hours of entertainment. She has experienced it around 20 times and it involves another country. Lastly, it involves elements of humor, disgust, and things I'm passionate about. I don't think its sexual because I'm not that kind of person. So what would my interests of History, helping mankind, Philosophy, Symbols, Religion, and Alternative Medicine have to do with it?
