What kind of fish is good for someone who doesn't like fish?
I really don't like fish at all. I don't even like tuna, but I know fish is really good for you so is there any kind of fish that doesn't really taste as...fishy? Or is there a way to prepare it so that some other flavor overpowers the fishy taste? (In a healthy recipe, though) I don't like canned tuna or salmon, and I don't like fried fish either. I like chicken a lot, though. Is there any fish that tastes like chicken?
Thanks!

hmm....if it's not too bad, you can swipe a lemon slice/juice over it and that'll take away a great deal of the "fishy" smell/taste...and I agree talapia is a good choice, blackened especially. That usually takes care of any fishiness!!

Tilapia is fairly mild and will take on the flavors of the spices and herbs you cook it with. Cod is a good choice as well. The most important thing, though, is to make sure the fish is fresh. It shouldn't smell fishy but it should smell like the sea. Any fish that isn't so fresh will smell fishy. If your tilapia or cod smells fishy, pass on it and ask for fresher fish. Good luck.

White fish, is the mildest, and if you squeeze a little lemon on it you will not know that you are eating fish. When properly done it is flaky pure white, and can be cooked to the recipe that often comes with it, or found on line . It takes very short cooking time, is excellent for your you, healthy, and you will soon get to like it, and be able to include it in your eating plan 2-3 times per week. It is a very light meal, that I have learned to appreciate. There are some food for which the taste is aquired, I hope you will get to like it, and in time try different varieties, that are described above.

The secret to "non fishy" fish is to eat it as fresh as possible. Every area of the country has some type of fresh fish. If you don't live near the ocean, there may be catfish ponds, or trout farms near you. Get your fish as close to the source as possible and cook it the same day you buy it.
If you like spicey food, rib fish fillet with some olive oil, sprinkle with cajun seasoning, then grill or broil the fillet. Healthy and yummy.

any white fish is usually more mild tasting without a strong fishy taste. butter fish and cod have a less fishy taste. generally, make sure that the fish does not overcook because if it does, it can taste extremely fishy.

Tilapia is not a fishy fish and has a good flavor. I bake it with cajun seasoning and it tastes great.

Well, my sister really isn't a big fish lover too but she does love to eat teriyaki flavored grilled salmon.
The teriyaki flavor sort of kills the fish smell.
