5 AnswersDogs7 years agoWhat is the general (world-wide) opinion concerning education at the universities in Puerto Rico?
I live in Puerto Rico, and I am academically preparing myself in the field of Chemistry. What are my chances of acquiring a job after I'm done with my studies? In other words, how prepared are the students that graduate from the university of Puerto Rico, particularly when it comes to Natural Sciences. Does the University of Puerto Rico stand anywhere worthy of praise at world-wide ranking systems? Thank you for your answer :)

17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhich blood vessel is biggest: Artery or vein?
I know that the walls of the arteries are thicker, and that the walls of the veins are thinner, but apparently in total diameter they can be up to 25 mm. Does anyone know a trustworthy reference stating otherwise? This would help a lot! Thank you.
1 AnswerBiology8 years agoDo theists understand the difference?
Between NOT believing a god exists (atheism) and BELIEVING god does NOT exist?
This is why atheism is NOT a belief or a faith or a religion. Because of this difference right here.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDo Satanists in any way shape or form admire/affiliate/look up to Satan?
I'm not sure of this, but I was told Satanists are atheists and it seems odd to me for this to be true.
I mean, IF (which is what I don't know) Satanists look up to, or have ANY form of belief in Satan, would this not make them theists, given that (as far as I'm aware of) "Satan" means "enemy of God" this one being Lucifer, which is actually a creation of God, imply that a belief in Satan must logically suppose a belief in God as well? I mean, how else did Satan come to be? I admit I'm ignorant on this topic, so before you assume an intellectual demolition, please be aware I don't claim to be an authority. GO!
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoTheists: Do you have an answer to the man's free will vs. God's omniscience?
Premise A: God is omniscient.
Premise B: God, gave us a free will.
Premise C: God is good.
If you agree to both A and B, answer the following: Knowing that only 1/3 of the world's total population would believe in him, (Premise A) and that therefore, given our choice not to believe in him (Premise B)... How can God be so good (Premise C) so as to create us when HE HIMSELF KNOWS THAT WE WILL NOT BELIEVE IN HIM and therefore end in hell? Would it not be fitting of a "good" god NOT to create us in the first place if he KNOWS we are destined for hell?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoChristians only, no athiests!!?
Ok, fellow atheists, now that I have your attention, I'd like to start by saying I'm also an atheist, so this may sound awkward, but my real question would be "Do you agree on this?"
Religion is the base for science, bear with me on this...
If we look at religion from an objective view, I'd dare say religion merely implies a shield to what is unkown to man. Notice how in the past, most gods are attributed either supernatural or natural properties that at the time are unknown, but have nonetheless to do with extreme natural phenomena.
We all know theists have a way of answering each and every single question they lack a proper answer to with "God did it." This, from a psychological perspective, puts their mind to rest, because as conscious beings, we fear what we do not understand. Take darkness for example, we do not fear darkness, we fear what may be lurking in the dark, and all we need to do to put our fears to rest is merely turn the light on. I believe the exact same concept applies to universal phenomena. The difference between atheists and theists is that us atheists perhaps have greater curiosities, and either feel comfortable with simply saying "I don't know" or take matters into our own hands and we study the Universe.
Therefore, religion is the most primitive form of science. Even if it stops by closing your eyes and answering everything with "Goddidit", this is an answer they believe as true, so to them, it is knowledge.
What do you think? I feel that if my atheism is well founded, not even myself would be able to prove it wrong, not even when you try to support the other side of the argument.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIs there such thing as the integral of u/du?
I have heard about the integral of u du... but not u over du...
The original exercise is the integral of tan^-1(k) / 1 + k^2....
So, I am 100% certain that u = tan^-1 (k), and that therefore du = 1 + k^2... but that would imply that du is in the denominator... what do I do from here?
1 AnswerMathematics8 years agoPro-life people.... do you use condoms when you have sex?
Because sperm cells ARE alive... and they are usually around 2 million sperm cells, which would be enough for a genocide.
Abortion on the other hand is the termination of a pregnancy... and one single life-form.
Note: Both the embryo and the sperm cells are not viable, therefore , regardless of how much advanced the embryo may be compared to a sperm cell, it is still not a fully grown person.
Conclusion: Having sex with condoms = genocide while an abortion is the termination of a pregnancy or... "killing a fully grown human citizen of 'MURICA" as you like to call it.
So, why do you use condoms but point fingers at pro-choice people?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy do christians get so butthurt so easily and erase anything that might be mildly offensive?
