I have the ORIGINAL model PS3. That fat old thing with the Spiderman logo writing on it. It has lasted almost 10 years for me due to taking care of it and regular cleanings.

However, my PS3 has recently begun skipping when I play DVD s on it. At first, I assumed the discs were messed up, but when I play them in a regular DVD player they work just fine. The wireless controller that I ve had since I got it will no longer function unless it s on its charge cable and it has reached its memory limit on games (which is surprising because I m [what they call] a "filthy casual").

With the PS4 out and parts and pieces becoming harder and more expensive to find; is my PS3 ready to be retired?

I've recently been rereading a very good [fiction] book called "Wild Swan". In one of the earlier chapters, the main character (a female named Alex) loses her virginity to the man she's crushed on for most of her early life.

The way the character continued after the fact (never treating it as such), I never really gave it a second thought. However, rereading the chapter, I picked up on the fact that: he was drunk and she technically never said yes.

The book takes place in the 1800's in both England and later America; I'm not too familiar with social customs during that period but it just seemed off to me. Does that count as rape?

Nothing to do with the games, just a hypothetical (fantasy) situation. My buddy and I were discussing "Perfect" Pokemon teams and mine has a huge hole in it: I'm missing one because I'm not sure how to fill the position.

Ideas for a final party member would be nice...and advice on the current team would be appreciated.

Okay, so I have an Acer Aspire that's at least 5-6 years old, I take as good of care of it as I humanly can, and lately I've been having problems with charging. The battery, light, and power lights all start to flash (and the battery icon shows up as not charging).

At first I thought this was a problem with the power cable, because it never seemed to be fixed by just changing power outlets. On that note, I thought it might be the outlets, but my Dad has tested them and they all work fine. Now I've taken the battery out and the computer works fine...but I can't imagine this is just a bad battery.

Is it staring me in the face or is there more to this than I originally thought?

I'm using an old Android as my phone (because I killed my old one by accident) and this thing is driving me nuts!!

It occasionally takes calls and messages but more often than not doesn't, and it ends up getting me in trouble! Any advice would be appreciated

I'm writing a story, in which my tritagonist is on a journey to find the organization known as 'The Freemasons'. The man who sends him on this journey casually describes them as "also being known as 'The Priory of Sion' or 'The Illuminati'.

I know there's a lot of conspiratory mythology in these groups, but I'd like to know if it would be correct to just group them altogether?

A brief explanation of each would be helpful but if I'm wrong, no harm.

Been watching the anime Zoids recently, and I got to the episode that introduced my favorite machine: the Lightning Saix.

While most Zoid names are fairly obvious, I cannot for the life of me figure out how a Saix figures into a cheetah design. Any thoughts or info towards this?

I'm writing a story, and my ship's captain (Lt. Commander Warren), is joined by two higher ranking officers: a trusted Commodore, and a jerk Commander. They both out rank him, but the Commander joins the crew as a gunner and the Commodore volunteers to assist the Lt. Commander.

Does the Lt. Commander retain command of the ship or would the Commodore take over? Or do I have no idea what I'm talking about, and need to rethink this?

I get this show is old but there's something that's really bugging me. In the japanese dub, Blair Flannigan is known as Rei Saotome. I understand that the japanese place their surname's before their given names, but hers just doesn't seem to work.

So, is it: Rei Saotome or Saotome Rei? It doesn't really matter, just to put my mind at ease.

Okay, I just finished the second in the Outlander series and I have a couple of question:

1.) Did Claire sleep with the King of France? it implies she did and I believe it, I just need some verification.

2.) How did she miscarry? Did Jamie stab her? did something happen naturally, what happened?

I'm writing a short story about me and a group of my friends surviving the zombie apocalypse, but I have this feeling that keeping all six of us alive at the end is nice but unrealistic.

We've each got very realistic skills that would help in the survival but I'm very close to all of my friends: how do I decide which to kill off?

In my quest to match or exceed my PS2 file, I still find myself at the same problem: I can't beat Marluxia! Here's what I've got to work with:

1625 (max) CP, 170 HP and a monster 66 card deck (2 Strike Raids, 4 Ars Arcanums, 4 Ragnaroks, 4 Curaga's, a level 8 Elixir, 1 Freeze, 1 Quake and 1 Mega Flare, numerous Sonic Blades...a level 19 Reflect Raid, a level 15 Lethal Frame and (at least) 6 zero cards).

Now, with this information: why can't I beat this cheater? I don't suck at the game, otherwise, I wouldn't have bothered getting this far

See, I live in Virginia and I'm moving to North Carolina in a few weeks to start attending college. I was just wondering: I have listened to Elliot in the Morning every morning since I was a freshman in High School and 103.7 (Play) out of Richmond every afternoon. I was just wondering is there any channels to listen to EITM down there (I don't have satellite radio) and what are some similar channels to 103.7 in NC? I only ask to make the move less scary.

Okay, I'm trying to put together a voice reel, and I know that it's merely a demonstration of your voice and all the sounds that it can make (depth, range, etc) but I'm not really sure what to say on it. I've looked up lines to say and such but a lot of advice videos and interviews have all said don't use monologues and similar lines. Well, if that's the case, what on earth am I supposed to say? I'd rather not look (or rather sound) like an idiot.

Alright people, I'm both bored and stumped...I'm here trying to figure out the exact mechanics of the 3D Maneuver Gear. Now, I've got some theories but I keep hitting speed bumps and inconsistencies; the best I have right now is:

1. The Upper Switch- I believe this is the attach and release mechanism for the blades

2. The Lever - I think the hand-brake looking lever may be the throttle

3. The Top Trigger - Obviously the firing mechanism

4. The Bottom Trigger - I have no idea what this other trigger is for

After posing this question to my friends, one of them suggested this as the possible control configuration:

1. Top Trigger: Firing mechanism

2. Bottom Trigger: Retraction mechanism

3. Handbrake/Clutch Lever: Cable tautening mechanism

4. Upper Switch: Blade lock and release mechanism

Most recently, I found a cosplay design that has the lever is the firing mechanism and the top trigger is the retraction mechanism but ignored the upper switch and left the bottom trigger out.

Ordinarily I wouldn't bother anyone with this question (I'd just let my wheels spin until I either figured it out or got bored with it) but this technology is so fascinating. What do you think?

Okay, I'm working on a murder/mystery short story and I've decided that my culprit is going to be a serial killer called: "The Cardsharp Killer." The killer targets indiscriminately and likes to play games with his victims before killing them.. By definition, a cardsharp is a professional gambler who cheats at card games; however, the more I think about it (as cool as the title is), the gimmick doesn't seem to work.

My question is, how can I make "The Cardsharp Killer" plausible or do I have to create a new killer? All thoughts and opinions are welcome but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for plausibility (creating the name alone was tough).

This is the first time I've seen the Disney film since I was a small child, and the ending gave me a kind of "in retrospect" thought. After Hercules chooses to stay with Megara, we see his godly glow disippate; my question is: did he give up his godhood or (like Kingdom Hearts wants us to believe) did it become like a Super Saiyan thing, in the sense that he can turn it on and off at will?

I'm on day 11 (with 2 days left) and I want to beat this guy! I've just beaten the Dead Dunes (finishing the main quests). This is only my second playthrough (mainly beating bosses with luck and a prayer) and I'm trying to do it with save data garb (Equilibrium, Guardian Corps and Knight of Etro) and I've got a little more than 7000 HP. I can't beat this guy! I know what the prize for doing so is and I want to beat him. Is there a way to beat him under these parameters? If not, what should I do? With only 2 days left, I'd rather not waste a lot of time on this, but it'll give me something to do before beating the game.
