My daughter is 10, she has lived with me her whole life. Her father is semi- present in her life, he see's her whenever he "gets around to it". My daughter and I live with my fiance and we also have a two year old. I decided to file for custody because I was informed that unless I do it legally I do not technically have custody of her. So my court date is coming up in about a month. What can I expect? What will the judge ask me? I am a full-time college student and I do not work, will that hurt me? Her father lives with his fiance and they have a newborn together, but she has three kids that she does not have custody of. ( I don't know why). Should I bring that up in court? I worry about my daughter being around a woman that is not even allowed to be with her own three kids. Any info will be greatly appreciated.. Thank you

DO I need her father's permission? She currently has his last name and I want her to have it changed to my last name. He does not really have an active role in her life, so I don't see the point. We were never married.

I have a 10 year old daughter with my ex fiancee. I have an another daughter with my current fiance. My older daughter's father is semi- present in his daughter's life. He will see her once or twice a week for a month than he does not see her for like three months. He sporadically pays child support. ( very irresponsible person) So he recently got engaged and had a baby about a month ago. Here's the issue I found out that his fiancee has three children that she does not have custody of. ( Ages 16-13-and ) I never asked why because I felt it was none of my business. I found out that she never had custody of her youngest, the child lived with his father from birth. My daughters father met her while in Florida on business and within a few weeks she got pregnant and she left her kids in florida and came to Jersey. She has not seen her kids since she got here ( jersey) and it's been about a year. Well my question is do I have the right to know why she does not have her children. Sometimes my daughter is visiting and I can't help but wonder if it was a drug related issue, because it is not the norm for women to not have their kids...? thanks for reading all the details...

Right now he pays $80 a week.he is over a month behind and I have not spoken to him in months. i have all his info. I have one of his old paystubs and he makes about $950 wk. WHat should he be paying? Will the payments decrease if i take him to court considering he is having another child. ( due in less than a wk) Please any info will help.

I have a 15 month old baby girl. She is the sweetest baby and her father and I love her sooooo much! But she can get such a nasty attitiude! I have a older daughter and a niece and nephew so I have been around kids for quite some time. I have yet to see this particular behavior. She gets so mad when she plays with her books and toys and starts crying and throwing things around! It drives us crazy!! We go out to eat and starts throwing the menu's around and gets really p'd off! ?? What can I do to help her stop that beahvior. Or is she too young? She also throws her self on the floor and hits her forehead onto our hardwood floors, but she does it softly. Still it's weird. Thanks!!

I just bought an IKEA bed and I need to know what to do to make sure it hold up well. I have heard that they have the tendency to cave in if not done properly. Does anyone have one, do you like it? It is a platform bed, it has wooden slates, no box spring. What can I do to make sure it will hold me ( 145 lbs) & mu husband, 210??????

hello, I have a 14 month old girl. She was breastfed until she was about 10 months old. After her pediatrician said it was okay I started giving her cow's milk. She is usually okay, but sometimes she throws up. It is not all the time, just soemtimes. Why is this happening? She has been off the bottle for months now. When she throws up it is usually a few minutes after and she throws up the entire cup of milk! What could it be. Thanks!

Ia m trying to email a resume and when i do it I attach the file. After I send the email the person tells me they recieved it and could not open it. Also when I try and open it through the email attachment it says the fileis "corrupt".?>????? what is this and how can I fix it, and why did this happen? Thank you

I am typing a paper and I need to save it to a cd rom. I bought them and when I open the file and hit save, it saves it then my computer tells me that I the file is ready to be written to the cd..???? what is this? Do I have to do that too? I just want to be able to have it saved on my disk so I can take it to school and print out 35 copies that I need for my class.. what do I do?

I have a 1 yr old baby girl. She has been using a sippy cup very well since she was 5 months old. Since I had such a hard time getting my first born to let the bottle go, I recently put my baby's bottles away. She has been doing fine without them, but I wonder is she too young? Also she still wakes sometimes at night because she is thristy, I know it is bad to give them juice at night, so what cn I do about that? When ever she is given juice, my husband and I always dilute her juice 1/2 juice 1/2 water. Thanks!
