  • Does AC Pro work? And is it safe?

The AC went on my 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. It still blows air, but it's hot. My mechanic said that it's illegal for him to just recharge the AC without testing the whole system and he charges $125 just for that! Any repairs would be over and above that. We don't want to put too much more into this car as we only plan on keeping until we can pay off our other car so we don't have 2 car payments. So has anybody used AC Pro? Would you recommend it? Thank you!

  • What should I do with the things a former friend gave me?

Years ago I had a friend who I'll call 'Selma' who was like a sister to me. Right after I got married in 1999, she gave me a beautiful collector bride doll. Except for the blue eyes, this doll could have been made in my image. The doll's hair was the same color and styled like mine, her flowers were the same color as mine and even her gown and jewelry were very similar to what I wore. A couple years later she gave me another doll. This one was a Native American doll to represent my Cherokee heritage. Both dolls are about 18" tall, stunningly beautiful and were not cheap. Unfortunately I did not have a place to display the dolls, so I put them in a closet and planned on getting a display case for them.

Fast forward to a couple years ago. Another woman I'll call 'Jane' also used to be a friend of mine. I was never super close to Jane because sometimes she would lie to get what she wanted or to keep from getting in trouble. Jane told Selma a whopper of a lie about another friend I'll call 'Matthew' and Selma believed her. Several of my friends who knew the truth tried to tell Selma that it wasn't true, but she didn't believe us! She believed Jane and both women cut all ties with me and several of my friends. Even Selma's husband tried to tell her it wasn't true and they got divorced because of this! I was heartbroken, but I have put that part of my life behind me and have resigned to the fact that Selma just wasn't the person I thought, or as good a friend as I thought.

The other day I came across these dolls, still in their original boxes. It seems such a shame to keep them hidden in the boxes, but besides the fact that I still don't have a place to display them, just looking at them reminds me of Selma and all those memories come back. I just cannot bear to look at them. So here is my question...what do I do with them? Word has it that Selma has moved, but nobody is sure where she is. She took down her Facebook page and changed her email address, so contacting her to return them to her is out of the question. So, should I donate them to the local thrift store? Should I sell them at my yard sale? Should I put them on Ebay or Craig's List and try to sell them there? Thank you in advance.

  • How can I make a bow out of plastic canvas without the plastic breaking?

I am trying to make a bow from plastic canvas. I took a piece of plastic canvas 6 holes wide by 49 holes long, stitched it with yarn and connected the ends to make a circle. Then I took another piece of plastic canvas 5 holes wide by 23 holes long, stitched it and connected the ends to make a small circle. Holding the smaller circle vertically, and the larger one horizontally, I slipped the smaller one over the larger one to make it look like a bow. The smaller one is supposed to be the knot. My problem is that the plastic canvas on both pieces broke. I am making small boxes from plastic canvas that I have stitched to look like packages and I want to make bows to put on top of the boxes. Does anybody have any ideas on a different way I can make the bows so the canvas does not break? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  • I got some silk flowers at a craft store.?

They are bundled together at the bottom with the same coating that is on the stems. I want to separate them and make a bouquet of several different flowers. What is the best way to remove that coating; or is it even possible? I want to keep the length of the stems if possible, so I really do not want to cut them if I do not have to.

  • I have an 02 Pontiac Grand Am that just started bucking and hesitating like it was going to stall.?

It was running fine until the other day when I left work. The car stalled right after I pulled out of the parking stall. The entire way home it bucked and hesitated like it was going to stall, but it never did. It was overdue for an oil change, so I took it right away and had that done. They said that air filter was fine. What could be wrong with it? I know less than nothing about the inner workings of cars, so please dumb down your answers! Thanks!

My niece is special needs and is wheelchair bound. She will be 16 this year and I want to make something special for her. I love doing counted cross stitch, simple crochet and my favorite is plastic canvas. I am stumped as to what to make for her special birthday. For other birthdays I have crocheted blankets, made cross stitch samplers and made jingle blocks. Does anybody have any ideas? Thank you!!

  • Can I make vegan ranch dip by blending silken tofu with vegan ranch dressing?

I am severely allergic to cow's milk. I found some bottled vegan ranch dressing and I want to make vegan ranch dip for a party. Can I take the dressing and blend in some silken tofu to make it thicker? Do you think the tofu would weaken the flavors enough that I would need to add more spices? Thanks!!

  • My son's class signed t-shirts with various types of markers and pens?

I want to preserve the signatures and be able to wash the shirt. My husband said to spray it with hairspray, but I think that will wash out and take the signatures with it. Does anybody know what I can use?

  • What is the best way for me to clean a vintage ivory colored clutch purse with simulated pearls and sequins?

I asked this before, but did not get an answer. I found this amazing vintage ivory clutch purse at a yard sale. It is in very good shape, but very dirty. The pearls look tan instead of white! I rubbed it gently and some of the dirt came off right away, so it appears to be surface dirt rather than the pearls and sequins turning color. Would it be ok to clean it with a soft, damp toothbrush? If not, what kind of household items can I used to clean it? Also, the strings holding the pearls on have turned brown. Is there anything I can use to make the strings white again?
