When i was a teenager, my father had a big, brown paperback bible. I know all bibles are big but this was Harry Potter big. It was supposed to be a direct (literal) translation, and had notations where alternate translations were possible and lots of notes. I always thought this was called "The Hebrew Bible", but I cannot find this bible anywhere. I have a friend who is looking for spiritual guidance and I think this bible could help her. Does anyone know where I can find this bible? I want either this bible or something that matched my description of it EXACTLY (except for title and color, I'm flexible with those). Thank you!

i got my *** kicked recently and somehow got a cut in my inner ear that just wont ******* heal right. i have no health insurance boo hoo. how do i take care of this myself?

i can't go underneath my house in the cold because i have an upper respiratory infection and i can't afford to pay the plumber....but my pipes froze last night! :( i did not realize it was going to get as cold as it did. SO i have all of the heat running and the cupboard doors open- i ALSO heard you could point a hairdryer down your drain on full blast and that would help? is this a myth>? anything other ideas to expedite the thawing?

I have a guest house that needs lots of improvements in order fr it to be a selling point for my home (yes i know i am insane to try to sell right now.) The problem is- my budget for this is low. WAY low. So here's what I need:

1.) A new front door for the house. preferably something very secure.

2.) a new door for the bathroom.

3.) i need to paint pretty much everywhere- luckily it's already white so i'll stick with that.

4.) the floors are concrete but have were painted a gross green ages ago. this existing paint is faded to nothing in large areas and scratched up like it's been in a catfight in the rest of the house.

5.) it has a gas wall heater that does not appear to be functional. i tried to light the pilot via the intructions but got no results.

6.) the shower walls look horrible. it looks like they are painted with a glossy waterproof paint- which is fine cept i didn't know that existed.

7.) I don't know how to light the pilot lights in the hot water heater or stove :(

8.) the 3 lower cabinets in the kitchen are doorless and need new doors or some other crafty solution.

that about sums it up i think. i really need to spend no more than 300 dollars and i know i am going to have to get REAL creative. As many ideas s u can give me would be the biggest help!

i have a palm centro on sprint but i want to switch to cricket to save some money. i would cut 25 bucks off of my cell phone bill. i love my lil centro. can this be done? i dont want to have to pay for a new phone and like the one i have just fine.

i wouldnt want to buy as many but i have a deep freezer and could definately save money if i knew how to do it. the ones at the supermarket are so expensive.

With the passing of Prop 8 in California, and laws in other states banning Gay marriage in their constitutions, it seems like the slow and steady process of completely abolishing the equal rights for homosexuals in this country is well underway. Although the Constitution of the United States of America does not deny gay couples the right to marry- it could eventually- especially with California- supposedly America's most liberal state- on the bandwagon. Our constitution does, however, conflict with the practice of Heterosexual marriage, and with the grounds that Heterosexual voters and politicians are using to justify the ban on gay marriage. The number one argument that I hear against gay marriage is that it goes against the religious traditions of this country. However, if marriage is viewed as a religious practice, then the process should have no affiliations with the government in any way, under the rule of Separation of Church and State that was laid down in our constitution. It is unfortunate for those that oppose gay marriage that they have chosen to use religion as the basis for their arguments, as this simply means that their own heterosexual marriages should not be recognized by the government. I personally think that they are on the right track and that the only way to make this country the place of equality that is often reputed to be, is to remove all government affiliations from marriage and for all married people to be considered single. This way there are no more tax breaks, no more visitation rights, no more special insurance clauses and exceptions. The government will have ceased to offer special privileges to some consenting, tax paying adults and denying them to others. Who agrees/disagrees?

has anyone heard whether or not Janet Jackson has canceled her concert in Atlanta this Sunday? Would Ticketmaster be required to tell me if she had?

I will be staying in the French Quarter this weekend but will not have a place to park. Where should I take my car that's walking distance from the quarter and no more than ten bucks per day? I really don't plan on using it once I am there. It's a rental so I would like someplace extra safe if possible?

I know some things has changed since I last went to New Orleans so even though I have asked this question before ages ago- i wanted to see- any advice for great ways to enjoy new Orleans VERY CHEAPLY. I will be staying 2 blocks off of the French Quarter and likely will not be driving. Will be with friends who like to drink and party, but want to enjoy the culture as well as the fun. Thanks1

Real player has been awesome with allowing me to pull videos from web sites like youtube. Is there any software that allows me to do the same with MP3's and other audio files that automatically play on websites? (such as profile songs on myspace?)

i need something that will in no way fail to wake me up no matter how tired i am. and i can't just be able to turn it off and go back to sleep. i know i am not the only person in the world who has an issue with turning off an alarm and going back to sleep without even realizing it. someone has to have invented something that doesn't turn off for like an hour.

I am not in any dire financial distress but i will be soon if i don't do something to clean up my finances. I just bought a car for about 5,000 with a 128 dollar monthly payment and a high interest rate. The issue is that the interest rate is ridiculously high. i also have a lot of credit card bills that i need to pay. nothing serious but it could be very soon. my monthly expenses are stretched thin. a friend of mine reccomended that i get a personal loan with a lower intrest rate than my car- pay off the car and use the rest of the loan to pay credit card bills etc. i'd like to do this however bank of america just turned me down for a loan (my credit is not horrible but it's not shiny clean either). So what should i do? should i stick with the personal loan and if so where is the best place for one of those? Any other ideas?
