Autozone wants $24 for ltw. carquest wants $60 for ltw both are semi metallic. cadilac is $103 for the semi metallic. whats the dif between the 3? what do you guys recommend for pads?

97 contour has been shifting out of overdrive, or 5th while in expressway travel. Goes 1st - 4th fine. Got it scanned because the o/d off light was flashing. Has 200k on her. Snap on scanner came up as converter clutch stuck off. Is this a easy fix? Has anyone else had this issue?

Torque converter clutch stuck off at times of highway travel. Got a scan done and thats what came up. Do you think changeing the fluid would help it stay unstuck, or is it a waste of $ and drive as is till it quits then do a part out? Should have kept the brick!

the 4 spd trans Goes into overdrive but, downshifts on expressway after a while of driveing. How can you tell if the transmission range sensor is bad?She does fine in city driveing. The o/d off light begins to flash when on the expressway, about 25-45mins. As that occors, i can;t get it back in to overdrive and starts shifting hard afterward. If it Sits for a while then it will go back to normal and shift fine then the issue returns again. Anyone have this issue? Missing a muffler, can that cause this?

Does this 2.0 engine have the 4 spd trans with a torq lock up for o/d? Goes into overdrive as normal, stepping on gas merging into trafic. it will then downshift on expressway randomly. Sticks there at times and the o/d off light begins to flash. Never reengages unless i feather the gas before the light begins to flash. When it begins to flash i can;t get it back in. I punch it a bit then let off to try and get to go back in, but it don't. Anyone have this issue? Can that light flashing mean other things?

My dodge dakota seems to grind breifly while shifting to the next gear. The clutch is down to the floor as I am shifting. What do you guys think y it is doing this?

hello, 1996 dodge dakota, 5 spd manual. seems to not have alot of power. 155000 mi, and i push the gas down the the floor and that same amout of power excists as if i were to lightly press the gas petal. airfilter is good and i ran fuel cleaner though it along with premium. could the engine be shot? also i hear this annoying rattle and i don;t think it is a lifter or rod. when its cold in the morning, i don't hear it. as it warms up, i can. any one have this same problem? i allready put a waterpump on it, and the knocking went away, now its just a rattle.

hi i wana put a 12" sub in my car. i already have a amp for the stereo, has a 12 disk and 6"9 spkrs in bak bose stereo spkrs. i only wana put a 12 " in the trunk. do i need a seperate amp to power the sub o can i wire it into the existing amp. do i unplug the 6/9's and leave the front or how does this work?/ thanks.
