my brain hurts

I am in the US, and I would like to create some artwork (original and prints) specifically to raise money for a couple of local charities. I cannot afford to incur additional taxes though. Should I claim a charitable exemption on my annual tax return? Or should I form a private non profit trust and file a 501c3?

About a month ago, I created an enclosed terrarium with a Metrosideros (New Zealand Christmas Tree) recommended by both the local garden center and the grower, and followed the instructions from a blog to create the terrarium. I put it in a partially shady part of the kitchen, and lifted the lid once when condensation appeared. Then all of a sudden yesterday half the plant drooped. I gave it a small drink of water (like a 1/4 cup), but this morning the other side of the plant was dropping as well. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what happened? Or if anyone has general info for taking care of this plant? The grower has conveniently taken it off their website, and the general gardening sites have been no use. Thanks!

Until I develop a good reputation, EBay/PayPal is holding my earnings for 2-3 weeks. Just wondering how many transactions or good ratings I have to have til I get my money instantly? I understand why they do it, but having to pay all the shipping costs out of pocket is going to get expensive!

We're having a lot of packages delivered here soon, and our carrier always has such a great attitude. I want to get a gift card or some other gift, but I know they have limits on how much they can accept.

We received the "Aspen" (4 in 1 I think) as a gift, so we don't have a receipt with the price, but I still have the packing slip.

When I do a search for something on Yahoo! or Google, and I click on the search results, I do not get the appropriate page, but an ad. Not one specific thing, it could be anything from ads for magazines to financial companies. And when I hit the back button, I just get another ad. How do I fix this??? I have had trouble with malware and cookies recently, though Norton claims it has all been fixed.

I couldn't catch the name, and I don't have caller id. The name sounded like something Evaluations.

Do the 2 companies duke it out? Or does the former homeowner have to strike a deal with the company that held the second mortgage?

We're having trouble getting even just a ballpark figure from contractors, so I was wondering if any of you out there had an idea?

We are seriously thinking about buying a home, but when we viewed it it reaked of propane smell. They claimed it was because it had been unoccupied for a while. Of course we would have the whole propane heating system inspected, so I'm not yet worried about that. My question is, will the smell ever go away, and how long does it take? And how do you remove it? Do you just air the home out, or are there other ways? I don't think I could live with that smell, just being their for 20 minutes almost made me ill.

I got quotes from both for a potential move, and Penske was half the price with unlimited mileage. There MUST be a reason why they are so cheap. Just wondering if anybody has had any good or bad experiences with either company?
