What is dry ice? I know what it is, but what chemicals are added to it to keep it so cold and steamy and dry? Why doesn't it melt? You can send a pizza to Colorado from Illinois and it stays frozen. How does this work?

My husband was very close to one cat we recently had to put down because of old age. He was 20 and we had no choice. Both my husband and I were saddened for the longest time. We still miss both of them but have three left. Do you think the other cats know these two are gone and do they have the same feelings as humans do? I feel like they know as they are quiet now, sleep a lot and act differently.

I know what you are going go say, but I'm a cat lover and rescue strays. So they all didn't make it to a shelter. They are our children and everyone knows, you can't just have one cat. My question is "Do you think the others are aware and miss them as we humans do?"

I used to bend over backwards trying to get my stepchildren to like me. But they never did. I treat them as if they are my own, but I know they don't care for me. What can I do to get them to feel better about me. I am about to give up.

My seven cats, all picked up as strays, do not get along with Gracie. We have to keep Gracie in a separate locked room, and take her out only when other seven are in locked rooms. I want to have her added to our group. Gracie was hurt when young, as some boys put kerosene on her then set her on fire. She takes anti-psychotic medication, but still will attack and injure other cats if I put them all together. Help! We need that room for our family, and I don't want a cat in it, segregated forever. She feels secure in there, as it has been her home for five years.
