Formerly known as "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"..I decided to change it since I've seen this name numerous times on this site. "You had your time, you had the power, you've yet to have your finest hour." Life is great, and I'm learning that everyday. The few things I truly value, I try to hold on to. Music is one of these things...so you will most likely see me in R&P trying to learn new things everyday and hopefully sharing some of my own knowledge with others too. I love a wide variety of music...and as hard as I try not to be a music elitist, I can sometimes be somewhat of an ignorant fool...but I'm not too bad =P Alright I'm done rambling...your turn =] Add me if you want, I really won't mind unless you're some total weirdo. Heres my last.fm...I don't use it much but you're welcome to add me: http://www.last.fm/user/LucyInTheSky009

  • Song choice for Sesame Street Audition?

I'm not sure what to go with. I want something lively with energy so I was thinking of going with "It Won't Be Long Now" from In The Heights, but I wasn't sure if they would probably prefer something more kid oriented like a disney song? Thank you!

  • Phantom of the Opera: Christine audition song?

I was thinking of doing "How beautiful are the feet of them" from the Messiah, but I wasn't sure if it wouldn't be fitting. If not, any other suggestions?

  • Would Bye Bye Birdie be a good idea for our spring musical?

We're trying to decide on a low-budget musical that doesn't involve a huge cast. We would have at least 25 people. Our cast is mostly girls, we only have about 4 boys and of those four boys only 2 are strong singers. I was thinking Bye Bye Birdie might be just about right for us. But I'm not sure on how expensive it would be to do a show like this. Do we have the right cast for it from the information I just gave you? If this isn't good, what about Into The Woods? Is it too difficult to do a show like that or would it be just right? If none of these are right, any other ideas for a show? Thank you.

  • Buying a cellphone off of ebay...?

When you buy a phone off of ebay so that you just insert your SIM card without beginning a new contract, does the phone have to be the same brand? I know it must be the same carrier, but if my previous phone was Samsung, does my new one have to Samsung as well? Or does that not matter? Thank you.

  • Who thinks genres shouldn't even exist?

We've all gone through it numerous times...all the different rock genres. But who else thinks artists shouldn't have to be put in a category? It's like their music ability is limited to one box...why are musicians forced to keep within this "box?" I hope someone understands where I'm trying to get at...

  • Help on choosing monologue for audition?

Since our director hasn't chosen our play yet, she has asked us to audition with whatever monologue or dialogue we prefer. I have no idea what she's looking for because I don't know what plays she has in mind. . . . I know this information probably doesn't help you guys very much, but if you could suggest some great pieces that could be used for auditions I would greatly appreciate it, because I'm terribly stuck!!

  • Ideas for helping a friend feel a little better?

Her dad was just told he might have prostate cancer...it's not certain yet, but he's starting to show symptoms. She's very upset...I realize there's only so much my friends and I can do to help her...but we want to cheer her up as much as we can. We're all 15 years old so we don't have a lot of options. Do you have any ideas of things we could all do?

  • Am I always going to have the same problem every time I change my nose stud?

I got my nose pierced about 2 weeks ago. I changed my nose stud 2 nights ago--it hurt a lot. I use the studs with the little ball at the end to stop it from falling out. I just wanted to know if it's always going to hurt this much when I change it? Should I buy studs with the different ends--you know like the curviness ones...etc. Is it just like this for the first few times..will my nose get used to it? Thank you.

Yeah I know, not really an "R&P" question but whatever. I wanted to know what you guys think of him since this section is full of people with good music taste. I personally like his music. I've followed him from the very beginning and I've always thought his lyrics are powerful and truly capture reality.

  • How do I find what I'm good at?

I always feel like I'm never the best at things. I'm usually average. Which really irritates me because I try so hard to succeed but nothing happens. I think I'm afraid of failure. Is it possible that maybe there's nothing I'm good at?

  • Help with becoming a sports reporter?

I'm not entirely sure if it's something I totally want, but it is certainly a career choice that interests me. I'm assuming I would need a degree in journalism, media studies, and possibly communication. But what sort of stuff should I do to land an internship with a big company? If it's something I go about, I want to make the best of it...I'd like to be a well known reporter. It's kind of silly to ask "how do I make that happen", but what I can ask is what sort of stuff helps me get on that track? Also, if it is any help, I'm not thinking of working in the US, but possibly Argentina or Spain since I am native to the language. But I would get my education here. Thank you!
