My motherboard got short circuited for some reason. I am going to replace my motherboard. What is the reason for this sort-circuit? Because when i replace my motherboard i don't want the new one short circuited all over again.

Could it have been a problem in the software that i use? that make the motherboard short circuit? I have Win 8.1 and i pressed the update windows, it asked for a restart and when I restarted it, it showed performing updates, then my computer went off and the motherboard has shorted out.

Also I want to know how i can determine whether my processor is still good ?

I have a core i3 processor (only processor) and I need a motherboard. There is a motherboard (only motherboard, no processor) for sale. It says that it supports Core i3, core i5 and core i7. So does it mean that I can put my core i3 processor into this or do I still have to find my processor number ?

The motherboard of my computer is not working. The motherboard is costly to replace so i'm trying to use the warranty. I have 3 years warranty for my motherboard and my computer is only and year old so i think i can get warranty.

The problem is that on the cover of the computer box (the casing) there is a seal "Warranty void if seal is broken". That seal, unfortunately, is broken. Is that seal there for the entire computer's warranty or only warranty for the casing? I'm asking this because I saw similar stickers for the hard disk.

I solved

3y^2 - 4y - 7 = 0

and made it to (3y-7) (y+1) = 0

It was very time consuming. I thought that maybe there was an equation for it , or some way to make it easy. Do u know?

Here's a question given that i can't understand:

Express 9x² - 36x + 52 in the form (Ax - B)² + C , where A, B and C are integers.

Hence, or otherwise, find the set of values taken by 9x² - 36x + 52 for real x
