Outboard motor issue: Idles great, doesn't plane....?

I have a 95/96 Mercury Force 120 outboard motor that sat for a year but I got to turn over perfectly. New plugs, fresh fuel from an external tank, compression was fine on all cylinders. We threw it in the water and it started up fine, idled fine once again. Putting a load on my 19ft Proline center console it wouldn't plane. Bogged down or just wouldn't raise RPMs after 8 knots. I don't have a RPM gauge but listening the motors sound just leveled out at full throttle. It could easily be a carb adjustment, maybe? If anyone has some things I should check specifically I would be very grateful. Nobody wants to look at any motor more than 10 years old now days, and my motor just hit the limit. Thank you for any help I can get.

  • I have recently recieved a court date for highway racing-Not Guilty or No Contest?

My friend, a random motorcyclist, and I, are sitting at a stoplight in the very front waiting for the light to turn green on each of our motorcycles. As the light turned green, all three of us accelerated at a high speed rapidly (not to be mistaken if we were actually racing from the light). The speed limit is approximately 55mph in the zone and we had a long stretch of highway in front of us wide open so stupidly, yet hard to resist we sped approximatley 85mph down the highway- me in the back with my friend and the other random biker in front of me. About 3 miles down the road we get caught up in traffic. We lose the random biker, and I needed to be in the far left turn lane of the 4 lane roadway. My friend made it in the lane but I missed it due to traffic, so I got into the right lane and pulled into a parking lot so that I could perform a U-turn and pull into the left turn lane behind the traffic. I see some flashing in the corner of my eye....I look in my mirror and...It's the police... To be honest I had no idea why I was pulled over. I have only been so lucky to speed at times and not get a ticket, and the area I was at...3 miles down the road, I didn't even think that I had done anything wrong. The officer walks up I give him my license and registration. He states we had to have been going at least one hundred leaving that redlight. He demands me to call my two other friends that I was with and I honestly and politely told him I only knew one of the riders and I wasnt sure if he would pick up on the count (he's on a motorcycle). I call my friend at the same time a deputy and the other random biker pulls into the same parking lot, as if he was escorted by the officer. When I get in touch I tell my friend to come back, that I got pulled over... Even though I could have said I do not know my friend..In the heat of the moment and being scared shitless I called. So we are all three pulled over in the parking lot. The deputies stated they were were at a corner of the intersection was and the light we pulled away from, on the opposite lane side of the intersection. At the angle they most likely would have no radar on us, nor have good vision to determine the speed we were going. He just stated we "were at least going 100mph". There is no recorded speed on the citation. Plus anything over 100 is automatic reason to arrest anyways( I believe). The county we were pulled over has a no pursuit law. So unless we are felons or suspects to a crime we shouldn't have been pulled over soo far from where we were stopped. Plus while pursuing, it's the law to have your blue lights and sirens on. If my friends and I were racing, we wouldn't have been caught, for my bikes(stock 2002 Yamaha R6) max speed is over 155mph, and I wouldn't have been in the back of the race-for my friends bike(stock 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 650r) maxes about 140mph. The police would not have caught us. They were not behind us the whole time, the time it took for us to go 3 miles down the road and get caught in traffic we had been going the speed limit for a good amount of time.

SO the question is, I know I wasn't "highway racing", but if I fight it I believe the officer will show up and it will be harder on us to justify, yet if I plea no contest I may get a speeding ticket or my charges may be lowered. If we get charged....we may get a year suspension on a driving lisence, and up to 1000$ fine. I went to police academy. I know alot of stuff but this situation, I have NO idea, and I am trying not to lose my potential credentials.

No Contest or Not Guilty:??? Please help.

  • What's going on with my starter?

I am having trouble getting my bike started, I heard if you jump the solenoid with the battery to the starter, then it should start, well my starter is barely doing anything, its slow and sounds like the battery is dead, which, it's not because it's new and charged. Any possible problems? If the starter is bad would it even be doing anything at all?

  • Clicking in the Solenoid of my 200cc Motorcycle?

Okay I recently bought a low cc motorcycle to get me started on the road. But I have this clicking coming from my solenoid rapidly, turning signals work, but when I try cranking it, it tries to crank for 1-2 seconds then the solenoid clicks rapidly. I replaced the battery, and checked a couple of connections but still no better. Should I replace the solenoid? Would it be a spark plug problem? Is there a relay that may need replacing? And I am hoping it's not the starter, right? Anyone know what to do? Is it the starter relay? or could it be the Starter button? Please and thank you.

  • Apple iPod Touch 8gb Screen problems......Screen defect?

Okay ALOT of people say plugging it into Itunes works, restoring it, holding home or sleep method. Well I have tried ALL of these. Numerous times. I sent it in on the warranty. Apple stated this:

Your IPOD TOUCH (2ND GENERATION) has been inspected by Apple technicians, who have determined that it has been subjected to accidental damage or misuse, which is not covered by the warranty or an Apple service contract. Therefore your product is being returned to you unrepaired. You should expect to receive it within two business days along with a letter that gives details of this assessment.

I didn't drop it. I didn't do anything. Never even though of getting near water. It is now a white screen, grey/blue-ish tint. I can hear the slider on it when I slide my finger on it. When I do try the home/sleep method it'll turn off. Turn on, and turn off. But always a white screen whenever it is on...... So any suggestions, comments, help? Anyone have the same problem?

  • I have 2 MTX Thunder 12" subs, and I bought a cheap box I want to change, soo Sealed or Ported?

I have a enclosed glass(plastic) display case, with 4 ports on it.The reason I want to change is that it's knocking the screws straight from my box and the box rattles, and eventually will even break some of the screws in half.... I want to know, when I get a new box, Should I get Sealed or Ported, and whats louder and more bass, More or Less volume. By the way I like alot of rap, and some rock, and I would like to be obnoxiously loud with them. Right now, I don't think thier kicking like they should be. Thanks.
