Girl Wonder
I'm opinionated, loud, and brutally honest. Some might call me a wench. I don't believe in your god, I don't conform to your ideas. I walk on the edge. I break the rules. I fight for great justice. Sha-zam. To find out more about me, go here: http://www.myspace.com/pinkmonsterfluff But I probably won't add you. I've compiled a Q&A on my 360 blog for those questions I keep getting asked over and over, go here to see it: http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog/index.html?bid=7&yy=2006&mm=8

13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat should be legalized that isn't legal now?
Here are my answers:
Gay marriage
Marijuana
Prostitution
What are yours?
14 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoChristians and other anti-gay types, what do you think will happen if gay marriage is legalized?
Just curious.
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat do Christians think of the remains of the earliest child ever found in Ethiopia?
As you may or may not have heard, scientists recently discovered the oldest skeleton of a baby Australopithecus afarensis ever found. Australopithecus afarensis is our oldest known evolutionary ancestor, and have features belonging to both humans and apes. Here's an article if you want to learn more: http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200609/s17458...
My question is, what do Christians think of this? How does this species that is so like us fit in with your view of Creationism? Do you think this species is really our ancestor? Why or why not? Please give as much explenation as you can.
23 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat makes a cult?
They deleted this the last time I asked it because I was "insulting other partisipants," apparently, so I'll just leave that line out.
What makes a cult? Is it simply any religion other than your own? How do you know your religion isn't a cult?
Please explain your answers.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWho is responsible...?
...if a young child plays a violent video game, clearly marked as Mature on the box?
The makers of the video game?
Or the parents of the child, who bought him/her the game without checking to see what they were buying?
Please explain your views.
10 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoIs this law Bush signed something that a Christian would do?
I'll post a link to an article about it, but for those who don't like to follow links, here's the main point of the law:
"It allows the government to seize individuals on American soil and detain them indefinitely with no opportunity to challenge their detention in court. And the new law would permit an individual to be convicted on the basis of coerced testimony and even allow someone convicted under these rules to be put to death."
They claim that this law will only be used to persecute terrorists, but when you get right down to it, what's stopping them from deciding that an American citizen who simply opposes the war is a terrorist? They wouldn't even have to tell you why.
How does the signing of this law mesh with Bush's claim to be a "good Christian?" Why do American Christians stand by while the rights they claim are God given are taken away?
Who, exactly, is the terrorist here? Because I tell you what, I'm terrified, and it's not of Muslims, Iraq, or Iran.
29 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow do you think this quote relates to faith?
“Truth is the shattered mirror strewn in myriad bits; while each believes his little bit the whole to own."
~Robert Burton (English Writer and Clergyman, 1577-1640)
True? Untrue? What do you think?
I think it's quite accurate, myself. No one knows the whole truth about why we're here or what made us, but everyone thinks they have the right answer.
Just curious what other's views are. :) Please state reasons for your views.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf you keep telling me I believe in Jesus, will that make it true?
In this question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsnH_...
I told the poster that I do not believe in the divinity of Jesus. He responded with "Of course you believe in Jesus' divinity."
Um... what? No I don't.
As you can see, the debate went back and forth for a while. No matter what I said, he pet insisting that I must believe that Jesus was divine.
Why does he think that he can tell me what I believe better than I can? Is this a common Christian trait, or just his own personal delusion? I'm not trying to be disrespectfull here, I'm just confused as to why he thinks he can tell me I believe in Jesus when I very firmly do not.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSeriously, what was Jack Chick on?
I see these every once in a while (someone keeps putting them in the bathrooms where I work) and I must say, all the seem to do is paint Christianity in a rediculous light. I mean, how silly is the one about D&D ( http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0046/0046_01.a... ? And how dumb are the ones about Evolution (http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/1051/1051_01.a... , Muslims (http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/1054/1054_01.a... , and Homosexuality? (http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/1052/1052_01.a...
Wow, this one makes me sick. http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0037/0037_01.a...
I can't believe someone actually thinking "This preachy, badly drawn, borderline offensive comic will make someone think Christianity is great! I'll leave it next to a urinal!"
Is there anyone here who actually thinks Chick Tracts help recruit converts? Can you defend them?
Here's a whole bunch, have a laugh.
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf I wanted to buy a Stairway to Heaven, how much would it cost?
Just curious.
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoA Question About Heaven?
No one works in heaven, right? So does that mean the stores are all closed? But, with a word, can you get what you came for?
0:3 *whistles*
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs Halloween "evil?"?
Do you celebrate Halloween?
If not, why? Is it against your religion? In what way? What do you do instead? Do you (would you) let your kids trick-or-treat?
If you do celebrate Halloween, how? Do you dress up? What are you going as this year?
I'm hosting a Halloween party and going as a pirate. :D
34 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAren't straight people going a great job of destroying the sanctity of marriage all on their own?
I mean, look at the way things are. People get married on reality tv shows to people they barely know because other people they don't know voted on it. Divorce is at an all time high, do I have to remind you guys of Slutteny Spears' wedding in Las Vegas that was annuled the next day? People are getting married for all the wrong reasons, for money, for prestiege, for just being able to say they are married.
Really, people, how could allowing gay people to get legally married really make things any worse?
It's like "It's ok to get married to somene you've never met on tv for a million dollers, it's ok to marry someone you're not in love with for money, it's ok to force someone it to marriage by getting pregnant, and it's ok to get married six or seven times and divorce them each after less than a year, but God forbid someone get married to someone they're in love with that just so happens to be of the same gender, because that will distroy the sanctity of marriage!"

20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhen do you think a couple should move in together?
I'm 19 (almost 20) and my boyfriend is 22. Our one year anniversary is this month, and we arn't planning on getting hitched any time soon. We are sexually active and practicly live at each other's houses (I've got a toothbrush at his place along with several changes of clothes, sleep over there about 3 nights out of 5) and we're currently looking for apartments in order to move in together.
Right? Wrong? When do you think a couple is ready to move in together? Really, we're going to do it no matter what, I was just curious about what other people thought about "living in sin" as it were in this day and age. Please give reasons for your answers.

7 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoIs this song"spiritual?" Do you think it is a good song to live your life by?
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
~John Lennon

What do you think? I think it is a lovely song and if we followed the values presented in it, the would would be a better place.

21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSteve, my Buddhist beta fish, is curious about other religions. Can you take fish to church?
Steve the fish, who, as you may remember if you read the first question I posted about him (sadly, it was deleted, what is Y!A thinking these days?) is a devout Buddhist. He meditates daily and has a statue of Buddha in his bowl. However, he wants to learn more about other religions. Can I take my fish (in his bowl, of course) into a church, synogouge, or mosque? Or should I just help him set up an account here on Y!A and let him ask questions? What do you guys think?
