BG: I use a language exchange app, and I posted a status in Spanish about how people correct language learners a little too much on this app...for it to be casual. I used an example, that small corrections like using "a" or an "a with an accent mark" are minute in must instances. I noticed that some Spanish speakers paid too much attention on my ancedote/example...instead of the actual topic of native speakers hindering conversation between language learners by correcting petty mistakes.

Basically, I'm asking...is there a term for that? lol.

Maybe there is a language barrier, even if we are communicating in the same language. Any tips on where I can read and practice Latin Spanish rhetoric?

A family member randomly gave me their 2008 MB E350, and I am still in shock about it. Keep in mind, my previous car was a 2002 Volvo S80.

The car has an outdated COMMAND system, that I cannot not play songs from phone via bluetooth. Does anyone know how I can update the system? And for how much?

What are your suggestions for care and upkeep of my first big kid car? How often should I get it detailed, washed etc.?

I've seen this new style taking over Pinterest by a wave!

It's like all neutrals, two piece outfits that are kind of minimalistic...and they are usually skin tight. Also, the shoes are almost always Gucci or Loubutin high heels...with Chanel bags.

So what's the name of the actual style? I want to say minimalist...but I'm not sure. Fashion bloggers of the World...Help

I'm a single professional woman, looking to meet cultured single men...and I figured an art gallery is a start. The club scene is not a weekly adventure for me. When is the optimal time to visit an art museum to meet men? Like what day of the week & time of day has the highest traffic?

Also, do you guys have any suggestions of places to meet educated, sophisticated and great men?

What is a word to express the practice of creating achievement titles that have extremely specific parameters, that only one or two entities could even qualify for?

For example, Lebron is the all time leading scorer of NBA players born in Akron, OH.

It's statistically true...but it's not really an achievement, because the parameters are so narrow, that only he had no competition for the title. So it's not even an achievement.

I cannot think of the word, can anyone help?

A little background, I'm 23 and 2 months after graduating college...my dad dies just out of the blue while he was visiting family in Brazil. I've lived with my dad my entire life, so need less to say my world is still warped from his death.

My crying spells have decreased in frequency, but when I'm having good days...I feel guilty for carrying on as if my only father isn't dead. I know it sounds stupid, but I feel like I'm being a crappy daughter.

What do you guys think?

But every now and again I'll have dreams that he comes back to life or something...and we keep making precautions to make sure he doesn't die again. I think because he wanted to go so bad, in real life. Last dream was me at home, and I see a Brazilian area code call the house phone & I panic, thinking it's someone informing us he died again.

I think I'm losing my sanity...

What do you guys think?

I met this guy online, and when messaging...he seemed interested me. Cool, so when we exchanged numbers...I was excited about meeting in person.

Boy have I been disappointed.

He'll text me like he's interested...I'll respond, and he'll just stopping texting me until the next day. Happened three times already. I just want to meet him person :(

I have a Siemen load center type 1, and one of the switches will not stay in the on position. Now one of the bedrooms in my home has no electricity. Help! I have no knowledge of electrical stuff, so keep everything basic lol

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but is there a difference? Why do some legal documents use one and not the other?

Background: my dad unexpectedly died of a heart attack 31 days ago, he never had any known ailments or diseases. And my mom is like terrified of his ghost somehow coming back to haunt her. (My parents were on great terms, married & living together since before I was born). I find her fear of him unsettling, and I think it transpired into my dream.

Dream:

We were in my childhood home that we moved out of 9 years ago(I'm 23) we and had a party after church. My dad's very close niece mentioned how there was a funeral for Daddy. I explained to her how it was a mistake, and that he was bit by a snake in his neck...and he had surgery to fix it.

Later in the dream, I had to leave early for a dentist appointment to have my tooth pulled.

I was hugging everyone and telling them bye.

My dad gave me a hug, and said a joke like he usually does. While we were talking, I had to jog his memory about somethings...but everything else was normal.

When I hugged my mom she said something like "I hope you find a man who cares about you." I was wondering why she would say that after my dad clearly just hugged me.

My dad had this puzzled, yet hurt look on his face when she said that...and so did I.

Then I left/woke up.

Questions:

What do you think it means? Do you think I was the only one who could see my dad & I had hallucinations of my dad in my dream? Do you think my actual father was trying to speak to me in my dream?

Here's some background info: My dad passed away totally unexpectedly (no prior ailments or diseases) 4 weeks ago. And ever since, my mom is afraid to sleep alone. So my sisters and I(I'm a girl) take turns sleeping next to her, just to keep her calm.

But I don't know why Jamaicans are so terrified of the dead. Not like anyone likes ghosts, but it's to the point that she doesn't want to shower in her master bathroom without one of us in the bedroom.

Another example, per my mom's request, we moved the furniture around in her bedroom.

I have a theory that she's afraid of being taken away or attacked my dad's ghost, despite my parents being on great terms prior to his death.

I lived with my parents my whole life, so trying to cope is extremely difficult for me. But knowing my mom thinks the wonderful man that my father is is some sort of menacing ghost, is pretty unsettling.

How can I help her? She doesn't even want to talk about him, since the funeral 3 days ago. And I don't want her to live in fear! It's like she forgot how spectacular and loving my father is, and classifies him as a terrifying ghost.

The past couple months, I've been drawn towards political thrillers/ dramas; specifically Scandal & House of Cards. Kerry Washington's character Olivia Pope from Scandal and Robin Wright's character Claire Underwood from House of Cards dress conservatively, compared to other shows, but are still very chic and effeminate. They typically wear neutral colors with minimum make-up and jewelry, but they still manage to look stunning. I know both actresses are gorgeous women, but I think the clothes they are wearing play a big factor. My questions are: what is their type of fashion called? Where can I buy clothing like them on a Jimmy John's salary of a college student lol? I want to dress like them, but where can I start? Help fashionistas!

I have tried watching movies with my parents, but so many moves have sex or topics they're strongly against. Does anyone know funny and interesting movies geared towards fundamentalist Christians? Any suggestions?

As I'm laying in my apartment, I realize that I'm a practice girl. I'm the girl that some find attractive enough to partake in sexual activities and maybe some conversation beforehand. I'm not the one they have a desire to love, hold onto, or even marry. Don't get me wrong, I've hung out with men that I'm sure care about me to a certain degree...but nothing too mushy. I'm the girl that if I suddenly stopped responding to their texts/calls, they would be mildly disappointed; but move on smoothly. I don't have the star power and I'm not beautiful. On the inside, I'm very dry, sarcastic, and a bit selfish. All qualities no man wants in a wife. There is a slight flaw in my theory, there are women with missing teeth in what appears to be successful relationships. But other than that, I think I'm pretty spot on. Think about it, I've pursued men of all different ages, background, races, religions, upbringings, and even zodiac signs; but still the same result: nothing. I'm starting to become more and more desentized, and no longer look for the "love" I've desired for 21 years now. I understand, now that I'm just a "fun girl."

I'm new to the Crossfit gym in my school town, and everyone seems like best friends there. The trainers are nice, but no one else talks to me lol. I go during the 7:15 am class, I'm sure most the cool peeps take the 5:30 class since this is a college town. How can I make friends and be likable? I know the Satirday workout will be a group workout, so what should I do to seem more approachable?

Oh, I'm on my 3rd day and every single muscle in my body is sore....I LOVE IT!
