Do I have to pay Self Employed Class 2 National Insurance Contributions bill I've received, I have not made a profit yet.?
Hello,
I started selling my self published book via my website in August 2014 as a Sole Trader. I have not as of yet made a profit from a few sales - my expenses have not been covered yet and so I am currently still at a loss.
In Oct 2014 I received my first class 2 NIC's bill for £22.00 which I paid thinking I had to. Now I have received a second bill for over £70 reading into it it would seem as I have made no profit I do not need to pay this.
Do I need to complete a form/send info regarding this to HMRC - which form? How can I claim the previous payment made back if I do not need to pay. (I'm currently full time employed and so pay the normal employed taxes separately)
Many thanks in advance for help and replies :)
3 AnswersUnited Kingdom6 years ago2.5 year old Washing machine is causing the circuit to trip out - what is causing this?
Hi
I turned on my 2 and half year old Zanussi washing machine but part way through the wash the electricity circuit tripped out. I reset the circuit by flipping the switch back up and have changed the fuse in the washing machine plug.
However each time I go to turn the washing machine back on the circuit trips out and I have to reset it. It is all fine with the other appliances on, nothing else is causing this to happen just when I turn the washing machine on.
What sort of fault could cause this - is it something I can find and fix myself? It has been fine up to now. Is it most likely the wahing machine or a fault with the circuit?
Thanks in advance for replies.
What could be causing this?

2 AnswersUnited Kingdom7 years agoWhat to consider when selling my book internationally?
Hi,
I've written a book which I have self published, I've started to publicise it and it is for sale in the UK.
I've had interest from customers in other countries and so would like to offer it to them too.
What do I need to consider when selling internationally? Is there someone I need to contact first? How does sales tax work?
Many thanks for replies in advance :)
1 AnswerSmall Business7 years agoHow can I change the url of my blog? And also improve the SEO?
Update : Hi,
I created a blog about my recovery from ME/CFS - I called it "my name recovered"
I wished to change the name though and so changed it to "my name ME/CFS recovered" yet the url has stayed the same - as mynamerecovered.blogspot.
I'd like it to be mynameME/CFSrecovered.blogspot - would this improve the SEO at all or not make any difference really?
Many thanks for replies :) (oh and any tips on SEO very welcome for my blogger blog :)

2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)7 years agoCan I use paypal on weebly if I upgrade to weebly starter or do I have to pay for the weebly business account?
Hi,
I've just built a Website using Weebly to sell a book I've written. I'm now setting up the ecommerce side for purchasers to buy the book on Weebly.
I'm in the UK and wish to use Paypal for purchasers to pay for the book as this is the only option for UK users/sellers on Weebly.
I have now been asked to upgrade my account from a free one to a paid one as have reached the point in developing the website to select Paypal for purchasers to use.
I was hoping to go with the starter package as I only have one product to sell and it is low priced.
However it has taken me straight to the option of business account which is a considerably higher price. I can select the starter option if I change the box ticked.
Can I use Paypal with Weebly if I pay for the Weebly starter option?
Many thanks for replies :)
1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance7 years agoWhat is the difference between a sole trader and a private trader?
Hello,
I've written a book which I will be selling soon, I wondered, what is the difference between a Sole Trader and a Private trader? Which would I be?
I know a Sole Trader would be self employed but what is the definition of a private trader - is it if you are just selling one or two items?

1 AnswerSmall Business7 years agoWhat if my customer recieves item damaged in the post and signs for it?
Hi,
I'm putting together terms and conditions for my website to sell my book.
I plan on sending the book to customers via 1st class Royal Mail signed for. What if the customer signs for it and takes it but it has been damaged in the post?
What is the process then, do they need to contact Royal Mail regarding this if they have signed for it and make a claim, or do I ask for it to be returned and I make a claim?
Many thanks in advance for replies :)
