I've tried so many things, but how do I remove this stain from my laminate?

I don't know what this stain is. It came with my unit. At first I thought it was paint, so I tried paint thinner, that didn't work. I tried acetone (i.e. nail polish remover), rubbing alcohol, vinegar, CLR, Amonia, and Soap & Water., I've used pine cleaner. I've tried all of these multiple times and it's driving me crazy that this stain won't leave. Getting new laminate is also not an option as it's too costly and stupid to get all new laminate for a stain that should be removable. Additional ideas would be appreciated, or products you may just as well. Thanks.

  • Please read the detail before answering. What do I do? Any Suggestions?

My wife and I are doing a trip to Las Vegas as part of a 10 year anniversary celebration from when we first started dating. Additionally, I'm surprising her with tickets to a back street boys show while we're there (since they're her favorite and are performing) as part of her birthday gift as her b-day will overlap with the time that we will be there. I tried to make a request with the promoter group if they can persuade the group in doing a shout out to my wife that evening since it's her birthday, but they said that the group doesn't do that sort of stuff unfortunately.

Not sure if there's anything else I can do, I feel like my wife will love that she gets to go see the backstreet boys, but is there anything else I can do to make that event for her more memorable?

  • Can a Waffle Cone Iron be used to make Stroopwafels?

I returned from the Netherlands recently and came across a really awesome treat Stroopwafels. I went crazy eating them there and regret not bringing back more. I've been looking up recipes and videos on how it's made and would like to attempt it, but the irons used look close to waffle cone irons (which I already have) that we have in North America, just hoping someone with experience can answer. Thanks!

  • Is our reason for missing my cousin's engagement valid?

My wife and I have long been planning and saving for this trip and we fly out on the morning of April 24th. We will be gone for a month out of country and so a lot of preparation and packing will be needed to be done. My cousin happened to get engaged over the weekend and is having her party with her family on April 23rd. It's not that we don't want to go, but this party was only just announced today and so we were subsequently invited just today. I said we would try because it's literally the night before we leave for our trip, but that it doesn't seem likely as we will be needing to pack and prepare for our trip. Typically people who get engaged and throw themselves and engagement party give their guests at least a month's notice, so this is unfair for us that it's this short notice. Not sure if I should be feeling bad cause I don't. They could have honestly waited during June or July when the weather gets better here as well.

  • Is it true that Terry Fox kept a large amount of the proceeds for himself?

I vaguely recall an incident when I was around 11-12 where my teacher was telling me that commemorating Terry Fox was a load of crap as he hardly did anything noble after he kept most of the money he raised through his charity run. How true is this, and are there any sources that can elaborate on this?

  • Do I have a legal case of any sort?

My closest friend who's an accountant has been living on the opposite side of the country has been doing my taxes for me the last 5+ years. He recently got into some problems with his marriage and has been dealing with some financial problems. He asked me to lend him $2000, which I did through a bank transfer. He was originally supposed to pay me back within a week, but that week turned into two weeks and those two weeks into a month, and now it's been nearly 2 months. I also found out that he never filed my taxes for last year, and he has been ignoring me on both paying me back and looking into my taxes, subsequently I am now stuck getting an accountant locally (which is the least of my worries). The bigger problem I'm now dealing with is that this friend turns out to have borrowed a **** ton of money from others as well, and isn't getting back to them either (including his soon to be ex-wife). I am kind of worried he's trying to commit fraud and I am uneasy about this given the fact that he also happens to be an accountant and has access to all my income info from the past few years and my social insurance info... so not sure what steps to take to protect myself from any potential and in addition to that if I can legally press charges against him for not repaying the money lent. This isn't my first solution, just trying to know my options if push comes to shove with this fellow now that he's been AWOL the last week+.

  • What is the name of this movie?

I believe it takes place in Vancouver, Canada. It's about a girl who is Asian living with an ultra-traditional Asian family. She develops a relationship with a white guy, and her family tries and sets her up with an Asian. The Asian guy they try and set her up with happens to be gay, so that won't work. Eventually she decides to remain with the white guy and then ends up being disowned by her family. If memory serves me correct it was released sometime during the 90's.

  • What options do I have in dealing with my strata in Vancouver, BC?

I have just recently purchased a townhouse/rowhouse that I am moving in to after I complete the renovations inside. The thing that is unique about my strata is that although they are proactive on dealing with just about everything their bylaws have left the burden of maintaining and repairing/replacing windows on the home owners (where it's usually the strata that's responsible here).

  • Anyone how to fix or replace the kitchen fan switch?

It's an older model, by Broan. I don't need to replace the entire fan, just the switch that turns it on and off. It got jammed somehow. The fan works, just the switch doesn't

  • Should I be blaming my realtor? Am I being unreasonable?

I'm in the process of selling my place and had a person come to an open house and make an offer. I received the offer late that evening and was happy with it and fully prepared to sign off on it. My realtor then insisted that we can make a counter offer and that we can try going for more. I asked him if we were being greedy, and he said we weren't and that it's reasonable to make a counter offer for a higher price. I agreed to let him try, but wasn't comfortable with this and expressed this to him, but he still pushed for it anyway.

He was to follow up with me in the morning with the outcome of doing the counter offer, but never got back to me. In the afternoon he called me and was telling me that the buyer decided to pull her offer completely after mention of a counter offer and was no longer interested in buying. It turns out she got into a car accident last night after submitting her offer and my realtor is saying that buying is going through some trauma due to the accident and would have subsequently pulled her offer even if I did accept it. I'm personally not buying his story and I think my realtor got greedy and wanted to increase his commission and now I lost a buyer who was willing to buy at a price that I was happy with, and he's just trying to his butt. I personally feel the buyer was probably overwhelmed due to the accident and after giving a reasonable offer for a home she was interested in and probably couldn't deal with negotiating the price after everything.

  • Does anyone know the name of this Cuban song?

I remember hearing this song all over Cuba when I was visiting back in 2014.

It starts playing in this video right after "Bailando" at 0:31. If it makes it easier, watch it minimized. The people in the background are a bit annoying to watch lol
