  • What do you think of this stanza?

    Just as Sun basks Earth

    With heat life-giving

    Newton’s fruit draw

    Her shine ever closer

    (By some natural law)

    Her warmth ever cluster

    To my skin

    To my strength

    To my heart

    For she was Loren

I need good critique here. I want to know if my rhythm is off.

  • About buying a new road bike...?

I have an XC bike now and I want to switch from XC to road cycling. The problem here is that I'm 16 and I don't have any means of income (aside from my allowance). I can afford a sora and tiagra groupset right now and I still have a few more money. My question is that would it be okay to have a lower end frame, wheels and other parts to buy a sora or tiagra groupset?

I'm 171cm(around 5'9") and I'm wondering how this affects me? What frame size should I use?

  • Like the Flowing River by Paulo Coelho?

Can you give me an extract from "The Bow"? I don't have my copy of "Like The Flowing River" right now and I really would like to quote something from the book.

The quote I need is about the bow. It was something about when the arrow is released from the bow, the arrow is no longer in your hands, instead, the wind carries it or something like that.

  • What do you guys think of my poem?

    She Forever Keeps

She weeps brother, for the blood spilled, she weeps.

Her sight blinded by ever crimson eyes,

as she waits for daylight that never creeps.

From the anguished the serpent takes his heaps.

She cries brother, for sorrow’s drop, she cries

Her unheard silence, she forever keeps.

She sleeps brother, yearning for life, she sleeps.

Her dreams hindered by murky chaos’ guise,

as she waits for daylight that never creeps.

From the abyss’ depth the grim sickle reaps

She dies brother, for spirit’s shed, she dies.

Her unheard silence, she forever keeps.

She leaps brother, hoping for flight, she leaps

Her fate on halt and locked below the skies,

as she waits for daylight that never creeps.

Brother as you take those unworthy steps.

She will weep and cry but never despise.

As she waits for daylight that never creeps,

her unheard silence, she forever keeps.

  • One, two, three?

Okay I have a Biology class in Tuesday and Thursday. There are three girls in my class that are just utterly hot. I just happened to be a friend of mine in high school of and the other two just recently became my acquaintances (thanks to my friend). Anyway, the three of them are hot. I can't really choose who to try and go out with. Okay choosing isn't really the main problem here, because I kind of already chose one of them. My main problem is that I can't get a suitable conversation with any of them. The three have very similar personalities... Such as being childish(yup childish hot college girls), smart (yup I said brains), kind of a little crazy (okay not really crazy but what I mean is that they are not shy about childishness). Okay I'm a smart guy so I can handle their brilliance. I consider myself childish but I can't seem to equal their childishness. To make you guys understand because I can't really explain well... THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THEIR CHILDISHNESS. (continue on details)

  • About human blood?

Okay I pricked my finger tip with a sterile lancet and I added a drop of my blood to an isotonic salt solution. I prepared two slides of my blood with isotonic solution. Then I added distilled water on the 1st slide and 50% salt solution on the other.

What does blood look like when viewed under a microscope on each of those cases? How are they different?

What if I placed solid crystals of copper sulfate(CuSO4) in a test tube containing distilled water? Will the CuSO4 diffuse? How does diffusion happen in this mixture?

  • Bio chemistry... Help with my home work?

My teacher gave us a homework. The homework is about relating the properties of water and the significance of that property to the existence of life.

She gave us an example. The example was like this... Water dissociates, therefore, water act as a buffer. Being a buffer, water is essential to life. She also states that the human body uses water as a buffer.

Can any of you guys out there help me?

  • What do you think of this sonnet?

Sonnet 1: The road which bears no fruit.

The two roads diverge in the yellow wood.

Never again I’ll pass my trodden rock.

Nor should I pause in forked road I once stood.

Where grass is grown anew my soul will dock.

Untrodden ways, they said, can bear no fruit.

This speech unto me they wholely warned.

That for dreamers, life pays no tribute.

Aspire nothing, for gamblers will not stand.

But what to gain in life when yield’s certain?

When fruit is bountiful, it rots and wastes.

What gain when fruits arise without famine?

Where fruit is not fruit, sweetness lost its tastes.

“It bears no fruit”, I gaze upon the path.

“Bear fruit it will”, I said or face God’s wrath.

I was wondering if the sonnet fits the iambic pentameter of Shakespeare's sonnets. If it doesn't can you guys specify the lines that I should revise?

  • What do you think of this poem?

    To my journal I write

    “Lifetime torments, lifetime dreams”

I had a dream last night

I thought, “My sleep always brings dreams”

    Two weeks, pursue I might

“I could, but only fools know dream”

Three years, I saw false light

“No time, my life fulfilled, to dream”

    Ten years, regret in sight

“What if? Maybe too late to dream”

    Today my hair turned white

“Age knows, wisdom dares not to dream”

The day my soul took flight

“I sought, but now death sees no dreams”

    I had nightmares last night

It said, “Go and follow your dreams.”

I made this sonnet though I'm not quite sure if it fits the rules of making a sonnet.

  • Muslims! Helm me convert!?

I know that you only need to pronounce the Shahada to convert to Islam. I am planning to convert by the age 18. I still need to learn a lot about Islam. Would you please tell me about it's laws, customs, traditions? How many times do you need to go to the Mosque? Can I live with my Christian family when I convert to Islam? How do I pray? Do I need to call God as Allah or just God? Just give me anything!
