Would police really check all airports to see if someone has left the country?
Someone on my family has been wanted for questioning by the police about a minor offence. CID has come to ask me about the whereabouts of that family member. As far as I know the person has gone abroad and that's what I said.
CID has now left me a card with a phone number to call and when I called it, I was told that police checked all UK airports to see if that person really left the country or not. Would they really do it for a MINOR offence or was he blagging me to see if I'd say anything else? Just being curious about it?!!

What area in London is nice to live in but not too expensive?
I am moving to London and although I have lived in London before - that was a long time ago.
I do not want to spend loads of money on rent but still want a nice neighbourhood/area .. and I sure do not mind multicultural areas.
I also do not want to live too far outside the city - about 30 minutes by tube into the centre is roughly my limit.

5 AnswersLondon1 decade agoHow much would it cost to travel from Switzerland to England by car?
My daughter and her family are coming to visit me in the UK in a few months time. As they have 3 kids they would like to come by car. How much money would they roughly need for petrol (from Zurich, Switzerland to London, England) motorway 'taxes' in France etc - they want to go through the tunnel so I guess that costs too.
