What is this nursery rhyme really about?
"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again."

8 AnswersPhilosophy7 years agoWhat are the white lumps on my goldfish's pectoral fins?
One of my comet goldfish (furthers right) has developed lumps on it's pectoral fins over the past couple of years. The fish are around 5 years old in a pond of 4 feet diameter. The fish appears to be happy enough despite the white tubers. Does anyone know what causes this and should I do something to treat it?

I can type in my answer and even add media but nothing happens when I click on the button?
I have recently updated my anti virus software and suspect that this might have something to do with it.

I thought if I asked this question then every answer should be acceptable.
I've had quite a few answers deleted by trusted members that I thought were perfectly reasonable. I see plenty of answers that look like they break the community guidelines and get selected as best answer.
I expect that this question may even break the guidelines.
Let's see...
3 AnswersYahoo Answers7 years agoDo you think that 'Top Contributor's' in Yahoo are superior?
I had always wondered what it would be like to earn my little gold crown.
How to get it appeared to be one of those great mysteries but for years and years I just kept answering lots of questions. Sometimes my answers were reported and deleted by 'trusted members' and this was a big disappointment. Anyway after a really concerted effort suddenly I logged on one morning and there it was: My profile had become golden, I had been honoured by the 'great Yahoo' and given my crown. My life was now complete and a radiant smile spread across my little blank yahoo face. Then doubt began to spread in, was I really superior to all the average inferior 'Yahoo users' or was I just deluding myself, drawn in by my own lust for stardom? Where can I possibly go from here not that I have achieved my lifetime goal? Is this really as good as it gets.
Please tell me that I am truly a superior, I really need you adoration or my crown might loose it's sparkle, I wont need my glasses to protect me from my own brilliance and my beautiful smile may vanish for ever.
Please help.

It appears that God has been around for eternity then decided to create our universe and all that it contains, including man 'in his image'. I wonder if he's made anything else?
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIs it necessary to split the ‘Spirit’ and ‘Soul’?
It’s easy to understand that our body is the organism containing our five senses with which we contact all the things of the physical in the material realm but I struggle to understand the distinction between ‘Spirit’ and ‘Soul’ and wonder if it’s actually helpful or necessary to do so.
My understanding is that they are both mental processes:
The ‘Soul’ is a ‘processing’ function of our mind, resulting in emotion and rationality allowing our organism to interact with the physical world.
Our ‘Spirit’ is a ‘qualitative’ function of the mind but defines our individuality through our values, conscience, intuition, and relationship with others.
Any thoughts?
8 AnswersPhilosophy7 years agoWhich of God’s creatures do not go to Heaven?
I’m getting on a bit and thought that I’d better do a pit of preparation for my afterlife. Following a bit of research on Yahoo Answers (YA), etc and it appears that most ‘believers’ expect their pets to be there but the jury is out on other animals including snakes, jellyfish, insects, microbes, fungi, etc are definite no’s.
Further research appears to confirm that only creatures with a ‘spirit’ can go to heaven. God only gave man a spirit, thus only man can enter his kingdom. Apparently all living creatures have a soul but only man has a spirit.
However the bible indicates that in heaven there are Angles with two wings, Seraphs with six wings, Cherubs with two wings & four other creatures with six wings, are covered in eyes and look like a lion, ox, man and eagle.
I'm starting to think that my old dogs won't have made it. Any advice?

They are probably correct on the latter.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoDoes anyone know how to prevent brussel sprouts giving you wind?
Urgent help needed.
I love brussel sprouts but they give me terrible flatulence. It doesn’t seam to matter how I cook them but prefer them not overcooked and with a bite. I generally prepare them by removing the outer leaves, crosscutting the stock and boil them for around ten minutes n lightly salted water. I then drain and coat lightly with butter before serving. I have cut down to only having them once a week and restrict myself to around 7 or 8 sprouts a portion. Please help because my wife is threatening that I’ve to choose between her or the sprouts.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I would really miss her.
7 AnswersCooking & Recipes7 years agoDo you value me as part of the Yahoo community?
I really value everyone who contributes to 'Yahoo Answers' for their interesting questions and amazing answers. It is wonderful to be a small part or this sharing of so much knowledge.
I just wondered if others felt the same and how many people actually value what I offer.
Please be honest and a simple 'yes' or 'no' would be fine.
More information would be really helpful.
Thank you so much for taking time to read this.
3 AnswersPhilosophy7 years agoTherapist - is ‘Change Of Use’ required to practice from home?
Hi I’m a Scottish therapist and see a few clients each week at home (in my lounge).
A local government Planning Officer told me that if I am bringing members of public into my house it I need to apply for a part change of use from Domestic to Business premises. This would not be the case in England. I don't feel that this is appropriate and wondered if any other Scottish therapists come across this difficulty?
1 AnswerAlternative Medicine10 years agoWhat does 'Also Active' mean on Facebook?
When I checked my Account Activity I found three 'Last Accessed' logs under 'Also Active' from a variety of locations in the UK, none of which I had visited. I pressed the End Activity Button for each of them but cant find what this means. Has someone else been accessing my Facebook account? What does the 'End Activity' Button actually do? Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

2 AnswersMedia & Journalism1 decade agoMicrosoft Windows Error Phone Scam?
WARNING: Have you had a call like this?
I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Windows Technical support regarding a large number of error reports generated from my PC. He was polite, very plausible and sounded as if he was from an Indian call centre. I was curious as my PC does generate several error reports daily and have often wondered what Microsoft does with this information but was also suspicious and followed the caller’s instructions to
1. Log on to my PC.
2. Open 'computer management' and filter the 'application' and 'system' error report logs. He told me that the large number of error reports indicated that my computer was seriously infected by viruses and directed me to:
3. Log on to www.ammyy.com and click on a link. This would have provided him remote access to my PC.
I chose not to do this and instead asked more questions about him and his company. He became uncomfortable and gave me his name as Shaun Samson, phone number as 08055 280642 and 2globe as his company. I then pointed out that this was not the information he had provided earlier and was certainly not from Microsoft Windows support. At this stage he politely thanked me and hung up! I have since found out that other people have been taken in by this scam, provided credit card details for new virus removal tools and had their bank accounts wiped out.

The black strip of cloud in the sky underneath the main cloud base and came from the north, right overhear and disappeared above Arran (Firth of Clyde, Scotland) just to our south. It was wider than the photo from East horizon to West. Any suggestions? It took about four or five minutes from appearing to going right overhead and disappearing.
