He has been with us for three days and I would have to say best puppy ever! This is my first puppy that I have owned and I was wondering if anyone had any great housebreaking tips for now or the future. To be honest with me being at home I and my kids have been consistent with going outside every half hour to an hour and we have had very little accidents. I feel that doing this doesnt give him a chance to cue me, so I was wondering if this is the right way to go about it at this age or if there is any different ways. Thank you

I have had my two cats for seven years and they are indoor kitties. In my past I have always had outdoor cats, so litter boxes and accidents were never an issue. My two girls pee on my carpets anywhere from 5 to 10 times per year. It is so frustrating getting the smell out! So I was just curious if this is normal that a cat owner has to go through this. Just to let you know my cats are very healthy and get regular check ups so there is no health issue. This is 100% behavior, maybe I looked at them the wrong way, or didn't feed them exactly when they wanted or if I go away. You know how cats can be:)

She is seven years old and has NEVER had a proper bowel movement. She gets these flare ups once or twice a month where she won't use the ltter box at all to poop, most of the time her poop is complete liquid and has a fair bit of blood in it. She also vomits a lot mostly after she eats her food, occasionally has a flare up of vomit that is yellow liquid. Lately her problem has gotten worse now she has more blood in her poop and sometimes it can be liquid yellow in colour. The only way Iknow its not pee is by smell.

Mya has been through numerous tests and three vets who cannot find anything wrong with her and her tests come out normal. She is on special food that seems to control her vomiting, when we have switched foods in the past it was a disaster, for my carpets and most of all her. I write this to all you cat owners hoping for an answer or reason I have not gotten before, the vets are stumped and my bank account cannot take the abuse of vet bills any longer. Please if anyone has advice for me I am greatful.

Also she is fantastic with the litter boxes we have six in our house in case she needs to get to one fast. It's only when she flares up do we have this problem, so she is not having behavior problems and the boxes and litter she likes. Mya is a great cat but we can see she is going downhill... flare ups are coming frequent and she is looking sicker. We have an appt tomorrow yet again for the vet so I thought if anyone has had a similiar story and diagnosis I can tell my vet and we can go from there.

I made a very stupid mistake six years ago and declawed my cats without doing enough research. I was told by my vet that it was harmless (for anyone thinking about doing it... do your research!) So now occasionally my cats pee outside their litter because their paws are sensitive. I would like to know other then Yesterdays News (which I have tried and they didn't like) what kind of litter is good for are situation.

My husband and I are trying to decide what the best thing would be for our children. If we should give them the vaccine or not. Their pediatrician is for it, my doctor is against it. Its really hard when you have two great doctors with different opinions. I want them to be safe but I worry about side effects on the vaccine, but I want to protect them as well. All in all its our decision just wanted to hear others opinions on the topic.

I went in to my upstairs bathroom to find that I had water on the floor. It had come from my toilet there was water all over the seat as well and very little left in the bowl. As far as I know no one had use that bathroom today so I found that odd the toilet flushed fine too. I assumed my three year old did it. Just went downstairs to my powder room to find that toilet bowl had very little water in it and the inside of the rim and seat were all wet like the water exploded up. I know for sure my son was not in there and it was not like that a couple hours ago. Whats going on?

I have had cats my whole life, I have always preferred kitties over dogs. Don't get me wrong though I am a dog lover myself I just find I connect more with cats. So Mya and Boomer came into our home as kittens six years ago and we love both of them dearly but Boomer I swear was suppose to be a dog.

She can't jump when she tries she misses and falls down

She has NO balance

She does not sleep

She cannot meow

She can't hunt she can't even catch a fly

She refuses to groom herself unless her sister does it

She is the messiest eater kibble everywhere wet food all over her mouth

She DROOLS!

She runs to the door when the doorbell rings

She plays fetch (although I have had many cats that have done that)

She licks your face when you come home

She begs

She jumps in the bathtub even though it is full of water

What's your opinion.

My son is almost eight months and is doing really well with his finger foods. I still give him jarred food occasionally. If I make dinner for my family I would love it if he can eat with us and if I make something he can't gum then I can blend it. My concern is when I cook I use your typical spices would that be OK now or should I wait a little longer.

I am using vinegar and a mop now.

I have talked to a couple of my mom friends who have told me they gave their babies Gerber Puffs and Cheerios at around seven months of age. I have just started my seven month old on finger foods last week he just turned seven months on sunday. He has had soft cooked veggies and little pieces of bread. I went to the store to buy the puffs and cheerios but when I read the container it said not to give it to them until after twelve months of age. I hesitated and didn't purchase them, I wanted to get more opinions first even though I was told they are perfectly fine and dissolve in their mouths.

He is my second baby and I can't remember what I did for the first. I seem to think I gave my first son little baby bite size pieces of bagel. If bagels are a good choice are whole wheat easier for them to gum or was it white. Also is it easier for them to eat them fresh or toasted. I would only give him the centre pieces not the crust for now.

My son will be seven months on sunday and he is showing signs that he is ready for table foods. He is sitting up in his high chair, he can pick up pieces of bread and put it in his mouth. I am still going to continue with his pureed foods I just want ideas of what I can give him after his meal to play with. So far I have given him Mum Mum cookies, Farley cookies, and small pieces of bread.

My cats have had an accident and I was told to use this product. I have read the directions very carefully so understand that it can take up to two weeks for the smell of urine to vanish. I smell the pee more now then I did before is that suppose to happen should apply more? It is on a carpet and I should let you know that I bought the gallon I saturated the carpet and lifted it to get the under padding and wood underneath.

I have two female cats they are six years old. They are sisters from the same litter I am their second owner I have had them for five years. The previous owner had them spayed and declawed. They have always been great kitties never acted up pretty much always used the litter box the occasional accident here and there if we forgot to clean out their box because we were away for a day.

All of sudden about a month ago they decided that they were not going to use the boxes. I will tell you what I have tried and maybe someone has a suggestion that may help.

I have four large litter boxes two in the basement and one in the laundry room and one upstairs. I completely clean them out once a month and I clean the boxes once to twice a day, replenishing the litter when needed. I have used the same litter since having them and never had a problem until now. Two weeks ago I tried five different litters to see if they would prefer something else, I only put the litter in one of their boxes and both of them would not even attempt that litterbox.

I have not changed their food there has been no major changes in our home or routine.

Our vet has cleared them of any illness.

I have thrown out numerous rugs and bought new ones for them to soil on again and again. The carpet that can't be thrown away has been lifted and cleaned with Nature's Miracle and covered with laundry hampers so they can't get there again until the smell dries. They then find new spots to soil, so I can't even say they are going back to the same spot.

I have tried hormone plug ins that are suppose to make them stop, does not work. Help!!!

My six in a half month old son has started to not want his bottle. He is a very big boy 21 pounds, and healthy. He only started to eat solids not to long ago he eats 3 tbsp of cereal and fruit in the morning and 3 tbsp of cereal at dinner with a jar of veggies and a couple tsp of fruit. I give him four bottles throughout the day that are 6 oz's, he usually fidgets with it and will maybe only have three or four oz's which means he only gets 12 to 16 oz's a day. Has anyone experienced this?

My baby spit up and I cleaned it all. But as the water dried it left a water ring stain, I have tried a baby wipe to gently erase it because someone told me that would work. The water stain is still there, how do I get rid of it. Usually I get them professionally cleaned but I just did that not to long ago. So how can I do it myself without spending a fortune.

I found five newborn moles in my backyard they were under a piece of wood. The mother ran away and has not been back since. Does anyone know anything about these little guys, should I let nature take its course or is there anyway I could help them. I feel terrible that I disturbed their home.
